After Rico drops us off, our first sighting was the Christ the Redeemer statue on top of Mount Corcovado which we walked up a long path to see.  It was amazing to see a beautiful, white stoned statue still standing after so many years with little weather erosion.  We then took a cable car from Sugarloaf mountain and gazed at the gorgeous view of Rio down below.

After that, we went and explored some mini markets where I got to try Brigadeiro which is a Brazilian bon bon, or just pretty much an absolutely delicious truffle.

Later on, we went to the Museu de Arte do Rio. Or in translation, the art museum of Rio. It was incredible looking at past and current art that Rio has to offer as it's history. There were paintings, sculptures, sketches, pottery, you name it and it will be there. By the time we left the museum, it was already getting dark out. I check my phone and notice that it's seven in New York, which makes it eight down here.

"Are you ready to go back?" Adam asks in my ear, as we walk off the museum grounds.

I nod my head. My stomach was doing its fair share of growling that a bon bon can't hold up. "Yes. I'm very hungry."

"We can eat out if you want." He offers with a shrug.

I shake my head. "No, no. I like Alda's cooking. And besides, don't want to worry Vianna on our whereabouts."

He frowns as he pulls his phone out of his pocket. "I told you to don't worry about her."

I shrug. I can't help it. Just the presence of her makes me anxious and puts me on edge. She hates me for some odd reason. I don't remember doing any harm to her or calling her names the first time I met her. She was the one who started everything. If Adam and I are going to work out together, then he needs to break up with her. And I'll break up with Ian. But I can't keep going around behind Ian's back and making out with his brother. And I'm sure Vianna would kill Adam and I both if she found out that he had a thing for me.

Rico drops us back off at the house and I can already smell Alda's cooking.  I walked into the kitchen with Adam close behind, and frown as soon as I see Vianna sitting at the island on her phone.

When she sees me, she glares at Adam.  "Where the hell have you two been?"

Adam closes his eyes and inhales a few breaths.  "Out."  He simply answers.  I can tell it's taking every inch of him not to yell at her.

But she just rolls her eyes and scoffs.  "The hell you were.  What were you two doing 'out'?"

I sigh and give Alda a sympathetic look as she glances at me with concern.  "We were out sight seeing."

But this causes Vianna to get even more ticked off than she already was.  She slams her phone down on the counter, gets up, and stalks over to me, getting up all in my face.

"Listen you piece of shit.  I don't know who you think you are, but you better back the hell off of my man.  I don't know who gave you permission to go out and about with my fiancée-" she starts to rant, but Adam cuts her off as he grabs her arm and walks out of the kitchen.

Fiancée?  Adam didn't tell me he proposed to Vianna?  I can already feel the tears brimming along the rims of my eyes, as I storm outside and head down to the beach.  This is why I shouldn't get my hopes up.  This is why I build too many walls.  Did I honestly think that I could have a fair chance with him?  What was I thinking?  He's with a super hot model who's rich and doesn't say no to him.  She can give him so much more than I can for him.  All this time, Adam has failed to tell me he planned on marrying Vianna while flirting with me and kissing me.  Why the hell would he do such a thing!?  Why would he keep giving me mixed signals if he wasn't planning on staying with me anyways?  I'm definitely am not going to be a mistress or some late night booty call.  I refuse.
