"Ryan go back to the basement. Lock the doors and don't come out until I say so"Cameron said not sounding like himself at all.

He was in his own haze, growling and pushing Steve to the wall. Steve looked like he was about to pass out any second.

"I said let him go"Joe repeated.

Holding some kind of weapon.

I was frozen in my step and didn't know what to do exactly. I was stuck in the middle. I didn't want any of them hurt.

But Cameron was not listening, his eyes were on Steve and not registering Joe's voice at all. I don't think he fully registered mine.

He thought Steve was a threat. I knew if I let this continue that I would lose Steve forever. He was turning into an ugly colour, trying to remove Cameron's hand from his throat. But he wasn't succeeding.

I knew I had to do something and do it fast.

"Cameron"I said his name softly, my voice shaking.

I was trying to stay in control and not panic but somehow it was showing in my voice that I wasn't as calm as I looked.

I have never seen him like this before I didn't know what to do but I knew that I had to do something because he would have hurt Steve and Joe would end up hurting him.

Cameron's ears twitched but he didn't turn to me. His right hand was wrapped around Steve's throat and pinning his to the wall like Steve weighed nothing.

"You need to put him down Cam"I said walking towards him with my shaking legs.

"You said yourself you don't hurt humans"I reminded him trying to calm him down so he could go back his human form.

"Not human"he growled.

I furrowed my brows. He must have been confused.

Steven looked like he was about to pass out so I had to keep Cam calm as soon as possible.

"Cameron t-they are my friends. You need to let him go"I said more firm to show him I'm being serious.

"Fuck that!"he growled. "They came to my house uninvited. They could have hurt you"

He really did believe them to be a threat that he wasn't listen to any reason.

"Cameron they are my friends"I repeated raising my voice a bit. "They won't ever hurt me"

His ears twitched again but saw him relax a bit on Steve's throat. He was listening to me. He could hear me. I was getting through to him.

I glanced Joe and nodded for him to lower his weapon when I saw Cameron relax a bit and wasn't choking the life out of Steve.

"Friends"

"Yeah. My friends"I was speaking like I would to a child.

"Well do your friends know they shouldn't come to a man's house uninvited?"he growled his eyes reminding red even though he was calm.

"You got our girl"Thomas came in the room.

Cameron spun around and threw Steve to him so no one was behind him. Thomas got to Steve before he hit the floor. Steve held his throat and coughed.

Cameron noticed he was out numbered but he didn't look like he cared one bit.

"This isn't much of a fair fight but I can take you all" Cameron said confidently cocking his head side to side.

"We are not here to fight. We just want our girl back"Thomas said.

"Over my dead body"Cameron growled pulling me towards him and placing me behind his back.
