Chapter 68

Manik's POV

" Who do you think is good for me to date? "  Roshni said.

" Roshni!! "

" Bye, Mr Shah!! Have a nice day. " She said and went away.

This is getting too much. I need to stop this.  My mind was about to blow.

My phone was ringing, it was Viren. I picked up the call.

" Hello! "

" Hey BIL! " He said.

" BIL? "

" Brother-in-law. Where is your mind occupied these days? " He laughed at me.

" Nothing, I was talking to someone at my office. You tell me. "  I said.

" Come to our place, tonight. " He invited me.

" Viren, I need to go for a meeting with dad and chachu. I might get stuck there. " I lied as I didn't want to go to his place.

"   Ok, Why don't we all meet tomorrow at Sujal's new restaurant? "  He gave another option.

" Yes, we can do that. " I said.

" Ok, then we will meet tomorrow."  He said.

" Yeah sure. " I tried to speak as normally as I could and disconnected the call.

I went back to the living room. Maybe they were still there and I will find some way to stop them from going. As both Mihir and I were not going, I could not allow even Mahi to go with them.

But when I reached there, I saw that they had already left. I became very restless.

" Manik, have your breakfast. You didn't even have dinner last night. " Chachi said.

" No, I am not hungry. "  I didn't feel like eating.

" I know you are missing someone special, thinking about her all the time...  Shall we call her here? She can make you eat with her hand. " Mom teased me.

" No, Mom!  I was not thinking of Myra if you are teasing me about that. I have more important things on my mind too. " I said.

" Ok, don't get annoyed. So tell us, when are you taking her on an official first date after the engagement? " Chachi asked.

" Not going anywhere, I came here to work as chachu said that there was an important meeting regarding some deal. "  I reminded them.

" So?? It was an important meeting. What can be more important than this?? " Mom said.

" It was my engagement, nobody asked me anything about it. How do you think, I would have felt?? Mom,  we get engaged only once in our lifetime. So it should have been, how I wanted it. A surprise birthday party is fine as it comes every year and you can have as many surprise parties in a day as you want, but an engagement party ??? Please!! Mom,  engagement happens only once in a lifetime, it should have been how and what I wanted. " I said.

" Ok, chill!! We will arrange another engagement party. Tell us whatever you want. We will arrange everything. Fine?? " Mom asked and I hugged her at her sweetness.

I wish it was so simple, I wanted to change the girl...

I went to the office to distract my mind but was getting restless. I  should have taken her to the most beautiful places in Delhi. This way, we could have spent more time together and those idiots would not have gotten the chance.

But, it was too late now. I don't know where those morons have taken  Mahi and Roshni.

I called Roshni but she didn't receive my call so I called Mahi and she picked up my call.
