The next morning went something like the first. I awoke in Shawn's arms with him still sleeping peacefully behind me. I couldn't roll over to face him because I'd definitely wake him up, but I could feel his breath tickling the back of my neck. I closed my eyes again and listened to the birds chirping outside. A few moments later, I felt Shawn shifting slightly behind me. I rolled over to look at him as his eyes opened, squinting against the light coming through the curtains. He moved his hand off my waist to rub his eyes. He blinked blearily, and I smiled at him lazily.

"Morning," I mumbled.

"Mmm," he groaned. He wrapped his arm around me again and pressed his face against my neck. I felt his eyelashes flutter against my skin as he closed his eyes again. I laughed and wrapped my arm around him, resting my chin on top of his head.

"I don't wanna get up," I heard him mumble.

"Then we won't," I said, reaching my hand up to play with the hairs on the back of his head. "We'll stay here for a little while."

Shawn sighed softly in contentment, and I continued to play with his hair. After a few moments, his breathing slowed, and I began to think he had fallen asleep again.

"Shawn?" I whispered.

"Yeah?" he mumbled in response.

"I'm hungry. I'm going to go find some food in the kitchen." I tried to disentangle myself from him, but his grip tightened around my waist. I knew I was no match for him, so I quit struggling.

"Don't go," he whined.

"But I'm hungry. Do you want to come with me? I'm sure we can find some muffins."

"Fine," he huffed, removing his arm from my waist.

I sat up and ran a hand through my messy hair. I got out of bed and picked up Shawn's shirt from the floor, where it had been tossed last night. I slipped it over my head. I adjusted it a bit so that it covered everything. I glanced up to see Shawn watching me.

"I like it better off," he commented.

"I'm not going to go around the house naked, Shawn."

"Why not? Nobody's going to see you but me."

"It's still weird."

"Fine. But if you're wearing clothes, then so am I."

"All right. I don't want to take that small chance of someone walking by the window and seeing you."

"That wouldn't happen," Shawn said, sitting up. The sheets pooled around his hips, leaving his toned chest revealed. His hair was a mess and there was a faint stubble on his jaw. He looked incredibly sexy. I was tempted to crawl back into bed with him and have a repeat of last night, but my growling stomach said otherwise.

He got out of bed and went to the dresser, pulling out a fresh pair of briefs. He slipped them on and then picked up his jeans from the floor. He pulled them on, too, not bothering to button them.

"All right. Let's go." He lead the way downstairs to the kitchen.

I headed for the pantry as soon as we got down there. I looked around for a moment before I found what I wanted. There were muffins on the top shelf, a few feet above my head. They were the big pack of Otis Spunkenmeyer's that you can only get at Sam's Club. I stood on my tiptoes, trying to reach it, but I was still a foot too short. I heard Shawn come up behind me. I dropped back down to my regular height and turned around. "Can you get those for me?" I asked, pointing to the muffins.
