"You checkin' her out?"

Jefferey widened his eyes as he pointed towards the retreating figure with a white headscarf. He looked back at Gunner in surprise.

"Dude, you're into that?"

He said it with that tone again which made Gunner's forehead crease. The way he'd referred to the girl made him uncomfortable. He was all too familiar with the hate towards Muslims.

Gunner didn't know much about Muslims either but he didn't feel strongly against them or for them either. He was more on the neutral side, avoiding the subject whenever it came up.

"They're bad news, man," Jeffery continued to say. "Related to ISIS and stuff, you're better off staying clear from them."

Gunner shouldered him, trying to lighten up the conversation. "What? You my mom now or something?"

He did manage to change the topic but his mind replayed what Jefferey had said. It's what everyone was saying, it's what the media was saying.

But was everyone right?
