"He's an Arab," she answered, trying her best to sound casual but she was studying his face for any negative giveaways. A frown or maybe even a weird stare.

There was none. In fact, he looked amazed. Curious, even but in a good way.

"So you must know Arabic too?"

"I know a few words but Arabic's a bit hard."

It was weird how a one word compliment could make her feel so flattered.
