» I'm curious, do any of you have an art journal or a bullet journal? :3 «

••

One entry in particular caught Gunner's attention and he stared at it for quite a while.

There were almost six to seven pencil sketches of a girl with a headscarf on a single page and Gunner realized that Lamees had drawn herself. The details weren't perfect but there was no mistaking those big eyes and her oval face shape.

There was a scribbled sentence in the middle of her drawings which said: My scarf doesn't define me!

She had written that with a black marker and instead of her usual rounded and delicate curves, the design and the structure of this sentence was given no attention at all. It seemed more violent and angry, the words written with such force that they even appeared onto the next page.

Gunner could feel Lamees's emotions through these words - the frustration, the hurt and the disappointment.

He closed his eyes and forced himself to shut the journal. He shouldn't be looking through all this. This was private. These pages held her struggles and her battles and he had no right to pry.

He was going to find her tomorrow and return it.
