"Lamees?"

There was no response from her as she continued to pack her things. Gunner knew that she had heard him.

"Lamees," he called her again, a little louder this time.

She paused and responded after a few seconds, still not looking at him. "What?"

"What's wrong?"

She turned her face to him. "What? What do you mean?"

"I mean that you seem like you're ignoring me for no apparent reason."

Her eyes shifted from his face to her desk. "Um, that's not true. I mean... what made you think that?" She tugged on the edges of her white scarf.

He was silent for a while, taking her in. "Why have you been ignoring me?" He asked her, not buying her excuse.

She sighed. "I have to go," she murmured before collecting her things and getting up hastily. She was out of the door before he could even blink.

He stood up too and his eyes fell on a black notebook that she had forgotten behind.
