He marched up to the group, his fists clenched by his side. The girls glanced towards each other nervously, not expecting this and before they could say anything, Gunner was standing in front of them, his green eyes ablaze.
"Don't you have anything better to do, Alexis?" He said addressing the girl who had pushed Lamees, folding his arms and raising an eyebrow.
"And don't you have anything better to do than to stick your nose into other people's business?" She retorted, almost immediately.
He took a deep breath, unable to keep his anger in check but at the same time, not wanting to create a scene. "Whenever she's involved," he said, pointing towards Lamees who stared at him, "it's my business, got it?"
And without waiting for a response, he reached out and grabbed Lamees's wrist and pulled her away from the circle of girls. He ignored the stunned expressions on their faces including Lamees's, and started to walk away, his grip on Lamees's hand tightening.
