Lana POV

I stirred to the sun forcing me awake. Slowly I sat up and glanced to my side where he laid fast asleep. I had no idea how we made it upstairs other than he carried me. My body ached so I laid back down and grabbed my phone off the nightstand.

Notifications where still flowing in so much that my phone could barely keep up. I clicked to Instagram seeing a mass of new followers and a variety of comments on photos, none of which included Dom. Yet every comment was about us. My stomach knotted as I switched over to Twitter, a account which I rarely used due to my job.

Already they'd given me an official blue check mark and a hord of new followers appeared. Yet with praise came hate.

You're a nobody why is Dom dating you?

She's looking for attention

He's only with her for the training skills lol what a player.

She's not even pretty

That scar is huge on her lip.

Abscentmindedly I ran my finger over it. I wasn't one for words to get to me afterall I had been through worse. Yet I had never had to face thousands of people in this manner. My mind was so focused on the words on my screen that I didn't notice Dom till he snatched my phone and glared at the device. Dojo trotted up and grumbled.

"That's it we're going out."

"Huh?" I snatched my phone back. "So I can get more dirty comments?! No thank you."

"They need to see you how I see you. We're going out." He said it with such authority that I almost flinched. I sighed and sat my phone on the nightstand, his arms coiling me against his chest. His lips trailed along my throat, lips I hadn't felt in months. "You're amazing. Don't let them get to you."

"I'm not." A huff escaped my lips as I pouted.

"Good now get dressed. I've got a place I found that I wanna take you." I sighed and forced myself out of bed then heading to the shower. The water burned my skin yet melted away the stress. Ever since being back with Dom the nightmares disappeared. It was like he was my protector in a way. I climbed out of the shower and slipped into skinny jeans, a black t-shirt and thin leather jacket with heels. For once I actually felt like getting dressed up.

" Dom is this too much?" He peeked out of the shower, my eyes trailed down his body abscentmindedly, causing him to smirk.

"No it's perfect. I'll be ready in five minutes." I nodded before quickly taking dojo outside and grabbing my things. By the time I was done Dom was already walking to the car, his hair still wet from his shower. I climbed into the car before he sped off towards the city. The air was slightly chilly but still perfectly nice to walk around and explore.

We pulled up to a Café and Dom filled the meter as I took a seat. I could feel eyes on me, how many I didn't know as I settled into my chair and looked at the menu. The breeze ruffling my blonde locks as Dom sat across from me. We ordered before settling into conversation. His fingers stroking the palm of my open hand.

"It's gonna be hard getting use to the cameras, but I promise it gets easier. I'll have to make a public announcement soon." He smirked slightly typing on his phone.

" What are you doing?"

"I'm just posting something." I huffed and covered my face till my phone bussed in my pocket. Once I lowered my hands I glanced at my phone's notification before looking to Dom who was smirking. "Open it."

"Ugh." I groaned slightly before swiping it open. The photo from months ago, my short blonde locks mid swing.

I see what you all are saying. You all know I'm not one to be emotion, but sometimes I gotta be just that. This is the woman some of you talked negative about. She's my world in the best sense of the word. Yes she's a Navy Seal and yes she can kick my ass. She can even kick @JoeRogan's ass. That's besides the point. I fell in love with her the moment I saw her reading a book in a bar. Love you Lana x

"You're so sweet I think I got a cavity." I smirked slightly before leaning forward and pressing a kiss to his lips. "Thank you. You didn't have to say anything."

"I'm with you baby. I don't want people looking at you like you ruined my life because you did the exact opposite." I felt my cheeks heat up before I finished my latte. "Let's go for a walk. Come on." He stood after tossing down the money for the pastries and coffee. I wanted to laugh at how much he was trying to show me off to the world now. We'd never dare go for a walk anywhere in town especially on a busy Saturday.

Surely enough there were eyes on us as we walked towards the beach. I could feel people watching us yet Dom's grip around me never wavered. He scooped me up and pressed a kiss to my lips.

"You're tense. Who knew people scared you so much." I couldn't help but roll my eyes before he smirked, pecking my lips. "I'm only kidding." He fell into the sand, my body onto top of his as I giggled. Yet he just stared at me as if amazed by something.

" What?"

"I'm utterly in love with you." I bit the inside of my cheek as he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "I know I'm no good at being romantic-" He sat up until he lifted us both to a standing position. I got this weird feeling that continued even more as he took to one knee in the sand. " When I woke up and you were there I just- I knew. I knew I loved you and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you." He reached into his hoodie pocket and chuckled, his eyes welling with tears that refused to fall. "So Elana Elizabeth Clark will you marry me?"

I felt like I was going to vomit due to the butterfly feeling terrorizing my stomach. My mouth opened to speak yet all I could do was nod before the tears came.

"Mmhmm yes- yes!" He stood and slipped the decently sized diamond ring onto my finger before kissing me. In all this mayhem to come at least I had him.
