-"That goddamn smile."-

(play song now)

It was by far the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, besides her as a whole.

An unfamiliar rapture went straight through him, and he felt like the stars got brighter. Like his heart only beat for that one thing. Like his eyes only wanted to see that for the rest of his life.

How he craved and needed to beg to see it more and more. It was like all his hopes and dreams got answered with just one...smile.

It made him high on whatever drug she put him on. And he never wanted to get sober.

Just one smile made him want to go on his knees.

Her straight dazzlingly white teeth spread into the sweetest and most beautiful smile he had ever seen. The most charming and precious dimples formed on her cheeks, making his heart thump in his head.

It could send the devil weak in his knees and bow down to her. His walls that were made out of stone just melted down.

That smile was worth more than life itself. It was heavenly, angelic...

It was like the sun coming out after a lifetime of storm clouds and thunder. It was like he could finally breathe properly.

And her laugh...

Like an angel's song. So melodic and smooth that it had his ears begging for more. It was something a siren would use to lure you in to kill you softly. But it was something you would hear at the gate of heaven when that siren drowned you.

But you didn't struggle beneath the waves...you let it take you because you didn't mind dying to that marvelous sound and hearing it again when you stood at the silver city's gates.

At that moment he knew that he wanted to see that smile...hear that laugh for the rest of his life.

He was infatuated with everything about her. He wanted to kill the reason for her pain, for her suffering because he wanted to see her happy if it was the last thing he did. He wanted to see all of her hopes and dreams come true. He needed her and only her to breathe the right oxygen and live properly.

He wanted to see her smile and laugh even if it was without him because all that mattered was her happiness. He didn't just care about her to the point where he was intrigued by every little thing about her.

It was more than that.

But he didn't know what that feeling was.

His breath caught in his throat, coming out shallow and uneven. He was too hypnotized to focus on his breathing.

He cupped her cheeks, grazing his thumbs over her dimples. She looked down, her cheeks getting hot and her smile getting wider. She bit her bottom lip, but this time it wasn't going to stop her from flashing her perfect teeth and dimples.

"You...are...so beautiful," he cooed. She laughed quietly, finally looking into his stormy eyes that turned into a hurricane of emotions as his pupil almost took up his whole eye.

"What about my favorite color made me lucky enough to see this?" he questioned. He needed to know the reason so he prevents those dimples from going away.

"You'll find out sooner or later," she whispered. He made sure to capture every detail of this amazing scene.

"I want to know now," he mumbled. She laughed once more making him close his eyes to memorize the sound. It was something he would only hear in his dreams, and now it had become a reality.

"Patience is a virtue," she smiled.

He needed to taste those lips...those luscious and plump pink lips. He slowly inched closer to her, and gently placed his lips on hers. His hands that had cupped her cheeks now went behind her neck and spanned to her jaw with his thumbs still on her dimples.

Their lips moved with passion and every emotion that they couldn't express with their eyes, they made known with their lips. She clutched onto the collar of his shirt, pulling their bodies impossibly close.

Every time they kissed or she had to look at him, she had to tilt her chin up and crane her neck to meet his gaze since he was significantly taller than her. And he had to look down, tilting his chin down so he could meet her lips.

This time was no different as he held her neck and jaw.

As if they were in some fairytale, the sky whitened and white flakes of ice started peppering down on them.

The blazer on her shoulders shielded her bare arms and back from the white snow but it did nothing to prevent her from getting cold and nestling her body impossibly closer to his. The coldness of the air and the warmth of their lips and bodies were the perfect combinations.

They didn't care that they were getting covered in snow. They continued to kiss each other as they had never before.

It was straight out of a movie scene.

Suddenly, they didn't feel so alone in this big world where happiness was a rarity nowadays. They felt as if the world could be against them, but they would come out together in the end.

Their past demons would break them apart without hesitation but they didn't seem to care as they kissed under the snowfall.

Unknown location.

"Are we ready for phase two, sir?" the woman asked. The mysterious man that sat behind the mahogany desk looked into the crackling flames with his eyes stinging with haze but he didn't look away.

He nodded curtly making the woman walk away and out of the dark office where the sizzling fire was the only thing that illuminated it.

He turned around and looked at the picture frame on the wooden desk. He picked it up with his calloused hands.

"Enjoy your smiles now...because it won't be long before you are mine again. You ran away once...but this time you won't get away," he told the picture frame where a woman stood.

A beautiful woman.

A woman with platinum hair, almost white. So glossy and thick. A woman with marigold and honeypot eyes. Like molten gold.

He talked to the picture frame as he had been doing the past 11 years even though he could talk to the camera footage that he had kept on her for more than a few years.

He trailed his thumb over the angelic young woman's face in the picture.

"We are going to finish what we started all those years ago," he growled.
