Chapter 4

Anna's POV
"Cmon up!" I heard Eva making me get up.

"We are going to the mall. Your coming with me because I don't wanna be alone!" She said making me roll my eyes.

I put on just a shirt with a black flannel over. I wore jeans and with my air forces.

I pulled my hair into a messy bun and got on the car.

"I swear if you use my money on anything! I'm gonna strangle you to death." I said driving out of the driveway.

"Don't you think this top is kinda cute?" Eva asked me and I just nodded looking at my phone.

We started walking while I was still on my phone when I ran into someone.

"Shit... my bad." I heard looking at the girl.

Blond girl with brown highlights...

I looked over and saw a kid next to her.

"Oh it's you." She mumbled.

"What about me?" I said seeing Skylar.

"The school's bitch." She mumbled making me angry.

"Well why don't I just-" I was saying when Eva put her hand over my mouth.

"She's just in a really bad mood. Im terribly sorry." Eva said making me roll my eyes.

"Yeah... okay." She said.

"Cmon Skye can we go to the food court?" I heard the little boy say as Skylar nodded.

"Bye Anna." She whispered walking away with him.

"You stupid dumb fuck!" Eva yelled hitting the back of my head.

"She started it! She called me a bitch!" I yelled back.

"Well Maybe Anna it's probably because you are! Cmon let's just go get you some goddamn sweatshirts to lighten your mood." She said pulling me to the nearest store.

Skylar's pov
"Who was that?" Will asked me and I shrugged.

"No one important." I said as we sat down.

I watched him eat his sandwich and used this time to talk to some friends from my original school.

"Can... we buy some shoes?" He asked me and I looked at him.

"Dad told me he was gonna buy me some but never really did it." He said.

"I got a couple hundreds I can buy you some new shoes." His eyes lit up making me smiled.

We walked the store and he found some shoes that were red and white.

"Let's go to the counter." I said and he happily jogged his way over.

"Okay well if you weren't being such a bitch to the girl she wouldn't have called you a bitch dumbass." I heard behind me seeing Anna and the other girl.

I caught Anna's eye as she stared me down.

I looked the other way and paid for Will's shoes.

"Wait this looks really cool." He said stopping at some sweatshirts.

"How much money do you have?" I asked him and he looked down.

"I only got 20 bucks..." he mumbled.

The sweatshirt was 40.

"Cmon. I'll pay for 30 of it if you pay with 10." I said wanting him to have a little money left over.

He grabbed the sweatshirt down and I grabbed me a sweatshirt of a different kind.

We were behind Anna which made me quite nervous.

She looked back at me when we met eye contact.

She did something that threw me off entirely.

She smiled... but that smile died when someone walked in.

I looked behind me and saw those same girls I remember seeing them at the last time I came to the mall.

"Oh well hello..." a girl said.

"Umm hi?" I said as Will looked at me.

"Hey go to the backside I'll pay for these." I whispered at Will as he did what I asked.

"I remember you!" I heard seeing that girl I met in the bathroom.

She got closer seeing her to be taller than me she hovered over me.

"Leave the girl alone." I heard a familiar voice speak up.

"Anna... cmon you wouldn't pass up the chance to use her?" I heard.

My hand glided up to my neck scratching really hard from my nervousness.

"Just leave her alone." Anna spoke up.

I looked at her and she was basically having a stare down between the two girls.

"So you would get with her?" She said.

I watched as the girls argued back and forth. I tried slipping out quietly but the red headed girl trapped me with her leg in between my legs.

"Move! Get out of the way go!" We heard seeing a worker of the store shooing them away.

The brown haired girl looked at me before scoffing and walking away.

"You okay?" I heard seeing the worker.

I didn't say anything but I left looking for Will.

I saw him sitting outside of the store.

"Hey will." I said and he came inside.

"I'm sorry you had to listen to that." I said and he shrugged.

"It's okay... I listened to my dad and mom fight a lot so I'm used to it..." he mumbled.

"Cmon. We can get your stuff and grab ice cream on the way home." I said and he nodded.

"Hey are you okay?" I heard seeing Anna.

"Just move." I said brushing past her and paying for my things.

I was about to walk out when I felt a hand on my arm pulling me.

"You can't just let them do you like that." She said.

I jerked my arm away from her as she looked at me. Staring me down.

"I couldn't do anything... it's not like you could either." I said.

"Because I thought you could stand up for yourself." She said making me roll my eyes.

"Instead I had to do it for you. Learn to take care of yourself without having someone else do it for you." She said.

"Yeah whatever Anna." I said walking away.

I wasn't in the mood to be talked right now.

"We don't have to get ice cream..." Will said.

I shook my head no as we got in the car.

"It's fine I can get ice cream..." I said and he shook his yes staying quiet the rest of the way.

"Look I'm sorry I didn't mean to blow up in front of you." I said.

"It's okay... we have our moments." He said and I nodded.
