Chapter 52

Anna's POV
"MY DAUGHTER IS NOT ABUSED! I NEED REAL PROOF!" Skylar's mom yelled.

"Miss. She has a jaw that's over place and has a gash through. The jaw could take weeks even months to heal. She has a stab wound on her lower abdomen." The doctor said as he looked at me.

"Someone get this girl a nurse!" He yelled as I looked to see my arm bleeding everywhere.

"Oh fuck..." I said panicking to the massive cuts on my arm.

I was taken to a room to get a wrap on my arm. I realized it was out of place and they popped in making me yell at the pain.

They instead put a cast on it so it could heal back in place. I heard the yelling as Skylar's mom yelling at the doctor.

"SHE COULD HAVE FAKED IT!" She yelled and I laughed at the fact that Skylar wasn't dumb.

"Miss... May I add your husband... or boyfriend was drunk... Will was in an unsafe place and Skylar took charge to defend him has much as she could. Your boyfriend is a maniac who beats people if they are gay." I said and her face softened.

"My daughter is gay..." she said before she sat down in a chair.

I was afraid. I just outed Skylar to her mom... I wasn't thinking. The doctor nodded before going away.

"Alex had always been hard on her I just was too blind to see..." she whispered as I sat next to her.

"Now that he knows she's gay. He thought he had a right to beat her." She said going on.

I listened to her but hearing some unexpected news about her father...

"He died a few years ago and it's affected Skylar so much she stopped showing up to practice. She stopped doing her favorite things." She said as I nodded.

"She even stopped hanging out with me. I guess I was affected by her absence I didn't trust her enough.." she said and I could understand what she went through.

"God I even told her it was her fault her dad died. How can I be so fucking stupid." She said and I shook my head no.

"Your a mother that cares for her child. You still have time to make a difference to her." I said and she nodded smiling at me.

"I suspect your the girlfriend?" She asked and I shrugged.

"I was hoping to ask her out soon. Seeing this I don't think I should pressure her as much." I said and she nodded.

"Your a good person. Thank you... and thank you for taking care of my daughter without me." I said and she nodded.

I saw someone coming through the doors limping to see Jace.

"Oh my god Jace!" Skylar's mom yelled as she ran to help him.

"Will... is safe." He said and I nodded.

Skylar protected Will even if meent to putting a lock on the door she did what was best so will wouldn't get hurt. I believe Will is what's keeping her alive right now.

I managed to get a nurse's attention. They tended to his wounds when I felt myself circling the hospital. I entered a random room to calm myself down when I realized it was a watcher's bay to see people operating on people.

I saw Skylar on the operating table... I shouldn't be here but I found them panicking to find shards of glass in her abdomen. The monitor was flat lining. I was scared but all the sudden waves were appearing which made a relief.

"Hey you can't be here!" I heard seeing a doctor.

"I'm sorry. I was just interested in the surgery." I said and the guys face relaxed.

"Who is this? I suspect you know them." He said standing beside me.

"She's a friend... I wish I had the courage to ask her out but I don't think she trusts me yet." I said as they were repairing the cut on her jaw.

"I see... is this friend... difficult?" He asked and I shrugged.

"I mean... I've done some bad things... not like abuse but something that made her not talk to me for an entire week." I said and he nodded.

"I'd say go for it. What else could you lose?" He said and I shrugged.

"A friend..." I said and he realized nodding.

"Just make her trust you enough and you'll be good." He said and I nodded.

"But I'm very sorry your not allowed in here. If you want I can ask when she will be available to visit?" He said leading me out has I nodded.

"Thank you." I said and he nodded.

"Of course." He said as I made my way back to the lobby following the signs.

Hours later I'm talking about 16 hours later they pulled Skylar out of the hospital. Setting her in ICU. Skylar's mom wanted to go first since they only allowed one person.

Soon when she got out crying she ran out of the hospital. I questioned why she did but I let Jace visit her first.

I was gonna let Skylar's mom stay with her through the recovery but I wanted to take her place now since she's gone...

After Jace came out I went in to see Skylar hooked up on so many machines it was unbelievable...

"Hey..." I said and she looked at me.

Ending this book soon so don't be surprised when this book hasn't been updated in awhile. Sorry very much I just don't really like this book if I'm not gonna lie.
