Story 11: Doppelganger

Jungkook's Pov

I ran away as fast as I could, fearing I'll get killed next, I breathed heavily as I stopped by a dark alleyway, hiding behind a dumpster.

I covered my mouth from breathing as I heard footsteps growing louder, I whimpered quietly.

I peeked my head cautiously, making sure the thing didn't see me, I saw it was me but it wasn't.

A Doppelganger.

"Come out Jeon Jungkook, we're both the same thing anyway, I think like you, act like you, talk like you.
I am you."

No way.

The doppelganger then turned to my side, he then smiled.

"How long are you trying to run away Jeon?"

I got up and ran futher down the alley, hearing the doppelganger chuckle darkly in a distance.

How couldn't I seen this sooner?

How couldn't I see my hyungs was replaced by their doppelgangers too?

Flashback

Last Night

I sat on my bed, listening to music while playing Overwatch as my favorite character Mc Cree.

"We'll come back soon Jungkook!"

I slightly heard Jin call out of me but I ignored it.

I continued playing for an hour I assumed, I put pause and turned to my alarm clock, seeing it was almost midnight.

I turned off my gaming console as I was about to get ready to sleep, I felt my own stomach rumble in hunger.

I got out of my room to the kitchen, not bothering to turn on the lights as I can see fine in the dark too, I grabbed a cookie that Jin made from the cookie jar.

I took a bite as I turned to walk back to my room, only to be startled by Jin.

"Oh my Gawed hyung"I calmed down. "You scared me"

Jin didn't say anything, or even moved, I felt weirded out, I turned on the kitchen light, seeing it was Jin but something is off.

"Okay...goodnight hyung."

I was going to move past Jin but he stopped me, I looked at Jin but he doesn't say or move at all.

"Can I be excused to go to my room please?"I asked in a polite manner.

Nothing.

I moved to the other side, Jin stopped me, I started to feel mad.

I shoved Jin out of the way, making my way to my room but stopped when I felt Jin gripping on my wrist tight.

My eyes widened.

"I'm sorry for pushing you away hyung"I apologized as I bowed my head, Jin didn't let my hand go, I felt scared.

I gulped.

I then heard footsteps, seeing the others walking towards us, I felt relieved.
