"MOTHERFU— THE HELL MARNIE!?" Anthony whined as Marnie wiped his nose a little too rough
"I told you, to stay out of trouble Anthony" Marnie chided, but he could hear the worry in her tone, so he calmed down.
"I'm sorry M...but it's the truth when I said I didn't hit back, I really did apologize" Anthony mumbled, as she sighed
"I know you did, I believe you, and you don't need to apologize, because red hit you first."
"It's definitely broken" Pea added, as he looked at Anthony's nose," I know from experience, so you gotta take him to the doctors"
This made Marnie curse quietly," Now, what will Mia think" She whispered.
"Whose Mia?" Fangs asked as Toni gave him a look of warning
"She's our social worker"
Toni elbowed Fangs as he realized, how insensitive it was to just ask that," I'm sorry" but Marnie didn't find it at all as a sore topic
"It's okay, I was meaning to tell you and Sweets"
So, she did, she told them everything, about their parent's deaths, which Anthony had held her hand knowing it was still hard to talk about, to being in foster care, and ending with how the twins needed to be extra careful with a while—just until their parole was over.
"Please don't walk on eggshells around us" Anthony added, as he looked at the boys," We prefer how things were going"
"Don't have to ask us that" Fangs smirked," We know as much as the next person, not to make the past define you guys," Fangs said, making Marnie smile at him gratefully. She definitely adored Fangs who she learned was the more sensitive one, compared to Pea, who was more of the angry one.
"Well, good, because we'd prefer if our junior serpents, didn't treat us like babies" Marnie teased making the pair chuckle
"Don't worry, no babysitting here" Pea added.
"By the way" Toni spoke up," I like what you to said to Reggie and Archie" She smiled patting the twin's shoulders, and Marnie beamed
"It was what our parents always said, whenever someone judged us, Anthony and I would tell them, it's who we are"
"It's kind of our motto we live by, whatever we do even our mistakes, it's not for others to judge, only ourselves" Anthony commented
"So basically, it's a big middle finger to everyone?" Fangs asked tilting his head, making Marnie almost melt at the gesture
"Pretty much" She somehow said without awing at Fangs, knowing it'll hurt his pride.
"Do you think they'll give us a hard time now?" Anthony questioned," Because I swear, I am not dealing with anything worse than a fractured nose" He grumbled, as he sent a message to Lorenzo that he'll need to go to the doctors.
"Probably not" Toni shrugged her shoulders," Jug probably told them to back off—"
Or, their tail is in between their legs" Pea cut her off
"Or they know now to mess with the Gomez twins" Fangs finished, making all of them agree with the last one
"Definitely that one" Toni commented clearly amused.
