You two were paired up ,along with other jonin, as partners on an A ranked mission to secure a bunch of ninjas who went wrong. And you could guess it turned into a brawl.
The rouge ninja you two were fighting was an posing threat to you guys and you two were definitely pushed to the limit.
At one point, Lee had fight alone as you had been knocked down pretty hard and briefly blacked out. With his ninjustu, Lee was pinned to the ground in perfect position to be impaled ,but just in time, you came from behind and disabled the attack. While you fought , and eventually won, he watched in awe of your fearlessness and determination!
Ever since then, he calls you his guardian angel.
