I was laying on the couch while a movie was playing. I was sitting on my phone when I heard the front door open. I jumped up and looked confused seeing David. "oh my god!" I yelled running over to him as he smiled. "you scared the shit out of me" I said laughing and hugging him. "how was Chicago" I asked him as he shrugged. "fun" he said quietly. "are you still gonna be quiet?" I asked him as we walked into the bedroom.
"sorry" he said shrugging quietly "what's up with you did Chicago not help?" I asked him as his back was facing me. "I guess it didn't" he said quietly "well tell me what's on your mind" I said sitting on the bed. He turned around and faced me "okay" he said sighing.
He sat down on the bed and we both sat down in front of each other. "I've been thinking a lot and like I said I'm not myself lately" he said as I nodded. "And I don't know it's just I've been bored lately" he said as I looked at him confused. "I'm kind of bored with us" he said as I felt my heart drop. "please don't cry" David said as tears started going down my cheeks.
"I'm sorry I can't help it" I said with my voice cracking. "so what does this mean about us" I said trying to make myself stop crying. "I guess we need a break" he said as he looked down. I saw his eyes start to water and I cried more. "are we over or is this actually a break" I asked him looking down at my hands. "I just need time to be alone for a while" he said as I nodded.
"I understand" I said quietly "are you gonna talk to other girls?" I asked him as I looked back up. "no are you?" he asked me "not if you aren't" I said as he nodded. "so this is a break not us breaking up I just need to get back on track" he said as I nodded. "I'm gonna stay with Corinna" I said standing up and grabbing a bag.
"I still love you it's just I need mental health time right now" he said as I nodded putting clothes in my bag. "This isn't the end of us" he said grabbing my waist. I turned around to face him and I looked up seeing he was crying. "I love you and I'll always be here for you" I said kissing him. We pulled away and he looked up from my lips into my eyes. "I'm glad you understand" he said letting go of me.
I finished my bag and grabbed my phone as David walked into the bedroom. "I guess this is bye" I said turning to David who was in the doorway. "bye shortcake" he said smiling at me. "bye Dobrik" I said as my eyes watered up. I walked out the house and into my car. I sat down and let my tears come out. "god why did he have to call me shortcake" I said shaking my head.
I didn't show it in front of David but this was gonna kill me I had no idea if we were actually about to get back together.

"hey" I said to Corinna as I walked into her house. "oh I'm so sorry" Corinna said hugging me. "we're not telling anyone we broke up by the way" I said as she nodded. "it's okay I won't tell anyone" she said as I nodded. "thank you for letting me stay with you" I said as she nodded.
"of course anytime just pick a room upstairs" she said as I nodded. I walked upstairs and walked into a room. I put the box down and laid down on the bed sighing. I never knew that me and David would actually break up. We're supposed to get married in a month and I have no idea if that's even gonna happen anymore.
