SO IT BEGINS!

ROSHESH's POV:

We were hitting red harder than a bull would. Not that we had a choice with both of them being arsonists of our asses, calories and muscles.

"Is there an audition for slowest crawl that I didn't know about?"

"No, Sir"

"Why am I seeing so many raised asses? You pick up speed without picking up your asses."

"Yes, Sir. It won't happen again sir"

"It surely won't. Crunches. Prescott, how many did you count?" N

ow even Dad would get into his trainer mode. We are screwed.

"125, Chief" I don't think we made so many slow or ass-up crawls. Please Dad, don't inflate it!

"I got some 100. So, shall we round it off to 250 crunches?" It could have been the ones Dad counted too? Why does it need to be added, Chief?

"Yes, Chief. Team, 250 Crunches. Count them loud"

It is these days that I dreaded when I joined the team. Chief alone as an instructor is quite enough. Together, they will make walking on fire look easy.

We make it to a 100 before the fire is lit again.

"Faster. Each of you will count in turns." Oh, shit! Chief will squeeze our brains as hard as he trains our bodies.

I start from 101, Siddharth counts 102 and Ashwin, Arjun and Kyra follow. Anytime somebody speaks out of turn or misses their count, we get awarded with a penalty of 10 burpees and resuming from the previous count. Lucky us!

"How many did you say out loud, Siddharth?" Damn it, Dad! It would require an awesome presence of mind that we clearly do not possess. I start counting how many I spoke out-loud while trying not to mess up the ongoing crunches count.

"109, Sir" Woah! Looks like one of us was paying attention. Thank God, I was not asked or else we would have been in quite some trouble.

"Ashwin, if your feet rise one more time, I'll stand on them." Dad on your feet while you do crunches and keep both counts is not a good combination.

I grit my teeth and work my body and mind both. But my heart beats are through the roof, I'm sweaty, tired and the day has just began. This combo is not good for your health.

The entire time we worked out, we have hit our red zones. The juniors completed theirs but we had some more to go before we completed our time. 

So, while the juniors had a water break, we learnt of our new schedules from now on.

0430 - we start working on our red zones while the juniors enjoy a run with Sirs

0530 to 0800 - all our red zones are well lit

0800 to 0830 - breakfast, shower and change if we earn it

0830 to 1030 - Tech Session 1

1030 to 1200 - Basketball practice
