My life kind of sucks, but I guess it's whatever.

The stars were beautiful tonight. I stared up at it from the grass I was laying down on.

   "Hey, Todoroki-"

   "Touya."

"Right," I laughed, "Touya, why don't you ever talk about your family?"

   "It's not important right now."

"But I always see you playing with your siblings-"

   "I said it's not important."

   "Sorry."

"No," I heard him sigh, "I'm sorry. I just want to enjoy this time. It's not easy sneaking out to see you every night. But," he turned his head towards me, "It's worth it."

His turquoise eyes were soft, but they reflected pain. I'm sure something was going on in his life that he wasn't telling me.

"I like talking to you, Touya."

"I like yo- talking to you too, water girl."

   "Don't call me that!"

"Why not? Your quirk is all about water!"

"Say," I looked away, "Do you think I'm annoying?"

   "Yes."

I glared at him.

"I'm joking! Why do you ask?"

"The kids at school keep calling me annoying and a show-off."

"They're just jealous. Give me some names, I'll put them in their place."

I laughed, "You don't have to do that."

"Hey," Touya smiled, "I'll always protect you."

I smiled and closed my eyes, "Promise me we'll do this every day? Even when we're adults and doing boring adult things?"

   "Yeah, (Y/N). I promise."

I sensed Dabi's heat on my back. My eyes were closed, but I could almost feel his eyes on me. His piercing turquoise eyes. What was it about me that interested him? I felt him put a hand on my shoulder, tracing circles. I didn't move.

   "I'm sorry, (Y/N)."

What?

"I'm filled with empty promises, aren't I? I'm not a good person, Dollface. You should know this by now. I shouldn't have let you get to close. I'm going to ruin your life," he stopped tracing my shoulder. I felt him get  off the bed, "Goodbye."

I heard him start walking.

The hell if I'm going to let him leave like that.

I sat up on the bed. He was already out of my room. I got out of bed and walked downstairs. There he was, about to open the front door. His back was to me.

   "Dabi."

He froze.

"That's it?" I walked over to him, "You're going to, we're going to- that's it?! You're just going to leave? After what just happened?"

   "(Y/N)-"

"Turn around and face me. We're having a conversation."

Dabi turned around. His eyes were different this time. They were less piercing. They were softer. Actually, they reminded me of someone.
