"Oh, hello... i got rid of the pest don't worry. It's just some kind of disappointment."

Chapter 81: Slay

"Hey stop pushing!" one of the passengers of the ship scolded the man who accidentally pushed her.

"Shut up it's not my fault" the woman frown but didn't retorted back. after all she's just a woman.

Everyone didn't say anything and endured the tight space.

they suppress the scream that would came out any moment if their gaze would landed to a tentacle.

they're scared no they are terrified. their bodies are trembling and their hearts won't stop beating rapidly.

It is known that no one ever slayed the kraken and it's a feared legend in the nero.

The kraken is a large octopus- like creatures that snacks on the merfolk it is also depicted to have spikes on its suckers. In the earliest descriptions, however, the creatures were more crab-like than octopus-like, and generally possessed traits that are associated with large whales rather than with giant squid.

"I.. i.. why is there a kraken. i thought it was just a legend? a myth!!"

one of the passenger who happens to be just a visitor in the land screamed. All she wanted is to have a peaceful vacation in the other land and forget the imprison-like place of her homeland, dasos

but she never thought something like this will happen.

the passengers who grew up in the nero stared at her in sympathy.

They can't blame her for being afraid. even them who lived in the land is afraid too.

They only heard about the legend of the krake from their grandparents, they clearly said that the kraken fell in the deep sleep thousand years go and it's impossible to wake it.

But now, it's awake. they wondered who woke up the kraken, whoever it is they would kill that person.

"Wait... where are the young ones?" one of the passenger asked and all of them search for the four younger generation that got on the ship with them.

then all of them stiffen and stared at the door blocking the outside.

"No way. someone get them, it's unsafe outside"

a woman in her mid-30s said with unconcealed worried expression on her face.

"but who can get them?, it's certainly not me! i have a family waiting for me in the dasos!"

"I as well can't volunteer" everyone waited for someone to volunteer then a man with one leg and an artificial leg took a step forward.

"I'll do it"

everyone stared at him as if he was crazy and stared at his pair of legs and doubted him.

the man seems to notice their stares and purses his lips.

"if no one will volunteer then i will. they are just kids and have more lives to live than me. and besides we're on the ocean. we are not safe as well"

he walk towards the door. even though his steps were slow, his determination is strong.

Men stared at him as if he was crazy but admired him as well. the women stared at the man in awe and glared at the other men.

It was rare for someone to disregard his safety just to save the younger ones. so it's not a surprise that they would see him in another light.

When the man opened the door he froze, everyone were nervous and stared at him confused.

Is he regreting it? they all thought but immeddiately dispose it when they saw how to man's expression turn from surprise to disbelief.

curious they all went to peak as well and was surprise.

outside they could see a girl with white long white hair that was a mess and has blue liquid on it.

her clothes become messy as well and has blue liquid substance spluttered on it.

she's holding her blade and carefully cleaning it, behind her are large tentacles and a large face of a squid like head.

she glance at them causing them to flinch. her eyes were dull and sleepy.

"Oh, hello... i got rid of the pest don't worry. It's just some kind of disappointment." after saying that. she sheathe her sword and yawn.

They were surprise that someone could slay the kraken that fast. they only had been hiding for a few minutes.

then they finally notice that the wobbly movement of the ship stopped.

How scared were they that they didn't even notice that huge detail.

Even though they know that the kraken is dead they didn't take a step to walk out the room.

All of them have the same thing in mind. The lady is scarier than the kraken.

so they tactfully retreated.

"h-how did you do that?"

one of the ship's crew asked causing the young lady to stare at him with lazy expression.

"The what?"

"How did you kill the kraken?"

"oh... secret" she sleepily said and walk towards the corner and took a sleep not bothered by her messy appearance.

Jasmine who witness this exchange heave in helpless sigh.

she wasn't surprise when suzue manage to slay the kraken that fast.

in the game 'the priestess'. the sister of the villainess, Suzue reed. is always been strong and fast.

She first doubted that someone could be like that i mean she lived in a ordinary community with people possessing an average strength.

But when she met suzue who's her sister now. she finally believe that someone could be insanely strong.

she saw how fast her movements was, she first cut off all the kraken's tentacles before decapitating it.

The kraken's skin might be thick but suzue's pair of swords were sharp that it cleanly sliced all the tentacles.

Jasmine remembered how her hair turned black as well as the ground she was stepping at.

She silently pitted the kraken. it's counter attack didn't even manage to hit the ship nor her and immediately got its tentacled sliced.

Jasmine silently shivered and held ethan closer on her embrace.

She purse her lips and stared at the kid. she doesn't remember ethan being in the game.

she stared at noah and hum lightly. Noah wasn't in the game as well.

actually the only character she properly saw is Suzue. and the only one she's familiar is lucas' soul that has a huge similarity to tristan.

no she wasn't actually sure if it's the soul she felt but just a sense of guilt and affection.

she sigh and finally decided to accept that she isn't in a game anymore.

a sudden sharp pain hits on her head causing her to scream.

"J-jasmine?"

noah's soft calling on her name was the last thing she remembered.
