-THIRD PERSON POV-

Maroudi, Nigeria.

Maroudi is famous for its beautiful nature. After all, it is the land of beauty.

In between being the city that everyone wants to live in, and trying to uphold that image, it is also a fast developing state. Because of that, most of the rich people in the country pay a visit to it every once in a while. However, just like any part of Nigeria, there are parts of it that weren't the prettiest and was pretty much considered the slums.

In the upper side of the state though, where the elites are, a sleek Audi RS5 pulled in front of a resort. That particular resort was situated a bit far from the civilization, and built up a hill giving a breathtaking view of the state. Even amongst the elites, that particular resort is closed off and is only available by strict invitation from the owner. Else, you wouldn't be allowed in.

That of course, made it the talk of the state, with almost all the elites that cares about such stuff dying to get the opportunity of stepping foot there.

A man stepped out of the passenger seat, swift on his feet as he opened the back door and stood stiffly beside it. With the door now opened, another man stepped out from the back door.

He donned a steel roll-neck from Sandro, with a checkered Burberry suit and black Patricius Leather Oxford shoe. His hair was neatly trimmed, and so was his Five O'clock beard that only accentuated to his looks.

His facial expression was blank, giving no impression of how he truly feels. He didn't spare the guard that opened the door for him a glance, as he reached out to remove the buttons of the suit jacket. Taking a few steps forward, two men who stood by the entrance hastily reached where he stood, and offered him a wide grin.

"Welcome, Mr. AbdulAzeez" They've heard stories about him and safe to say, they knew he was a man that's hard to impress. So, they wanted to be on their best behaviors.

Azeez simply offered them a curt nod, and that was all they needed to understand he wanted them to go straight to the point.

"This way please. He is waiting for you"

Quietly, they escorted him into the resort that albeit is hard to gain permission to visit, is still pretty much occupied by people. They weren't nosy people though, for everyone minded their business and barely paid any heed to the others.

That's one of the reasons they picked the place to be their meeting place. With how the press of Maroudi happens to be everywhere, and with the scandal the both of them are indirectly involved, it's best to meet in a place where the press can't get access to.

Taking the elevator, the four of them—the two workers, Azeez, and his body guard quietly stood there hoping the ride would come to an end soon. Azeez and his body guard couldn't care about that. The two workers though were the ones who felt that way.

Despite trying to hold up a good image around him, there was something about Azeez that will have one wanting to get away as far from him as possible. He simply had his cold aura surrounding him that demanded attention, and at the same time, sends waves of fear one couldn't fight.

With a blank expression, lips set into a tight line, and eyes that seems to be permanently narrowed, it's best for anyone sane to be away from him.

Much to the workers' content, the elevator came to a stop as it dinged, signaling their arrival at the intended floor. They were the first to step out, and then led the way to the roof top patio.

It is a beautiful modern patio with faux grass surrounded by waist-height glass balustrades and furnished with white modern sofas. Frosted glass panels are also visible beyond the balustrade to the right. From the positions where the sofas are situated, one gets a complete view of Maroudi.
