Leah's POV

I woke both Gabriel and Bella who both said they could get ready themselves.

I knocked on Andrea's door, heard nothing, I open it.

She sat up on her bed knees up to her face.

I walked over to her and sat on the edge of the bed, not too far from her but not too close to make it uncomfortable.

She looked into space, it was a quiet and peaceful morning but its as though that didn't exist once you enter the room.

I knew that Andrea had been distant and withdrawn lately, and I wanted to talk to her, to understand what was troubling her.

I cared deeply for all the children, and Andrea's well-being was my priority.

Andrea's small frame curled up, and her eyes downcast.

She looked so fragile, and my heart went out to her.

"Andrea, I want you to know that I care about you and that I'm here for you if you want to talk," said looking at her

Andrea looked up at me, her eyes filled with a mix of sadness and uncertainty.

"I'm sorry," she whispered. "I don't mean to avoid you, but I just... I don't deserve your care."

Before I could say anything Andrea embraced me, and I hugged back.

My heart broke for Andrea, and I squeezed her reassuringly. "Andrea, you deserve all the love and care in the world," I said sincerely.

"You're a wonderful, kind-hearted girl, and you're part of a good family."

She didn't let go of the hug, but I felt tears in my neck and I heard her sniff uncontrollably.

She shook her head, denying what I said.

"But I'm broken and broken things get thrown away," she admitted softly.

"My mom... she used to hurt me when I was little. She was so angry all the time, and she took it out on me" Andrea confessed.

I felt a rush of sorrow for Andrea, understanding the pain and trauma she must have endured.

"I'm so sorry, Andrea," she said gently. No child should ever have to go through that."

Andrea let go and sniffled, wiping away her tears with her sleeve.

"I knew my mom was hurting by cheating on him," she said.

"But she told me that if I ever told anyone, she would hurt me even more. I was scared, so I kept it all inside."

I wrapped my arms around Andrea, offering comfort and support.

"It's not your fault, Andrea," I said firmly.

"You were just a child, and you were trying to protect yourself."

Andrea clung to me, finally allowing herself to release the emotions she had been holding back.

"I wish things were different," she whispered. "I wish I had a mom who loved me, I'm nothing."

I hugged her tighter, my heart aching for Andrea's pain.

"I can't change the past, but I promise you, Andrea, that you are loved by so many people," I said softly.

She sniffed "Who?" she asked, tears still falling, I wiped her tears using my thumbs.

I smiled softly "You have a family who cares for you deeply, and they'll always be here for you, I'm also here and I care for you a lot."

"Even Dad loves me?" she asked, "Of course, he doesn't know how to show it but he loves all of you very much," I said.
