Third person POV

Luca had gone up to his study to do work.

Meanwhile, downstairs, the soft glow of the TV illuminated the room as Leah settled onto the couch, a blanket draped over her legs.

It had been a long and eventful day, and despite her body's exhaustion, sleep eluded her.

She had tried lying in bed, staring at the ceiling in the dim light, but her mind was too restless to find rest.

As the movie played on the screen, Leah's thoughts drifted.

The events of the past weeks had shaken her, and she found herself contemplating the unpredictable twists and turns that life had taken since she had first stepped into the Romano mansion.

The sound of footsteps caught her attention, and she turned her head to see Luca coming down the stairs.

His presence alone brought a sense of comfort, and she offered him a tired smile.

"Hey," he murmured, his voice warm.

"Hey," Leah replied, patting the empty space beside her on the couch.

Luca settled down, his shoulder brushing against hers.

"I see you're still up," he noted, his eyes flickering to the TV screen.

"Yeah, I couldn't sleep," Leah admitted. "Too much on my mind, I guess."

Luca nodded, his gaze thoughtful. "I can imagine. It's been quite a day."

Leah leaned her head against the back of the couch, her eyes fixed on the movie but her mind elsewhere.

"Yeah, it has."

There was a comfortable silence between them, the sounds of the movie providing a soothing backdrop.

Leah felt Luca's gaze on her, and she turned to meet his eyes.

There was a depth of understanding in his gaze, a silent acknowledgment of the challenges they had faced together.

"You know, you don't have to carry all of this on your own," Luca said softly, his voice gentle.

"You have people who care about you, who want to help."

Leah sighed, her shoulders relaxing.

"I know, Luca. It's just... sometimes it's hard to ask for help, you know? I've always been the one taking care of others, and now that I'm the one who needs help, it's... different."

He reached out and placed a reassuring hand on hers. "I get it. But you're not alone in this. And you're not just the nanny or the caretaker. You're part of this family."

Leah felt a warmth spread through her chest at his words.

It was true, she had become an integral part of their lives, of their intricate family dynamic.

She had formed bonds with each of the kids, with Luca, and even with Andrew.

And though she had her moments of doubt and insecurity, Luca's words reminded her that she was valued and appreciated.

"Thank you, Luca," she whispered, her voice tinged with emotion. "For everything."

He smiled softly, his thumb brushing over her hand. "Anytime."

They turned their attention back to the movie, the weight of the day slowly easing as they found solace in each other's company.

The TV cast a gentle glow over them, and as the credits rolled, Leah finally felt the heaviness in her eyelids.
