Leah's POV

The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow in the room.

As I began to stir from my sleep, I became aware of Luca's warm presence beside me, his hand is still around my waist.

I blinked, trying to shake off the sleep, and turned to him with a smile.

"Good morning."

Luca, his eyes still half-lidded with sleep, mumbled a reply. "Morning, Pulchra."

I chuckled at the sleepiness in his voice. "Did you sleep well?"

He stretched and yawned, then gave me a sheepish grin.

"Except for that moment when I woke up thinking I was about to be attacked by a 'soft, not soft but just hard enough' pillow, yes."

I couldn't help but laugh, remembering my bedtime pillow analysis from last night.

"Well, you survived the night, so I guess we can count that as a win" I smiled.

He leaned in and planted a soft kiss on my lips. "Definitely a win."

After a while Luca and I got up and prepared for the day ahead.

We had breakfast together, with the kids joining us at the table. Their excitement over Bella's upcoming birthday filled the air, and we discussed plans for the celebration.

Luca, listened attentively to their ideas, promising to make it a special day for Bella.

It was heartwarming to see how much he cared for the children, and I couldn't help but smile as I watched him interact with them.

After breakfast, Luca headed off to a meeting while I stayed behind to oversee the kids' activities. Angel, now known as Zia, had taken a keen interest in learning, and I spent some time helping her practice writing and reading.
