From ice to fire. Bombay brought us here to celebrate our gold medal win. It's a peaceful and gorgeous night. A nice warm fire that gives everyone a beautiful glow. We've got more than enough supplies for s'mores. Dwayne even brought a guitar. There's nothing like it. I'm sat comfortably between Dean and Fulton as we relax and wait for for Dwayne and Averman's surprise. Apparently they've been practicing a song for the occasion. Leaning into Dean as Fulton leans into me - everything is calm. That is until a panicked shriek comes from Goldberg.

"You're not supposed to light it on fire!" Charlie scolds as he quickly extinguishes the flaming marshmallow.

Everyone laughs as the marshmallow is put out of its misery. As the laughter dies down, the cowboy decides it's showtime. I share a glance and a smile with Julie as the chords fill the quiet.

Averman begins to sing (sort of) We Are the Champions. Dean and Fulton do their fist bump then kiss the top of my head and cuddle into me a little more. A couple of lines in, we all begin to sing along, gently swaying side to side. As the song gets to the pre-chorus, myself, Dean, Fulton, Goldberg and Charlie quickly jump off the log and onto our knees. Arms around each other, we really get into the song - making a performance of it.

"We are the champions, my friend!" we're all so loud that we can barely hear Dwayne's guitar.

The energy remains high throughout. Later in the song, Dean grabs me and dips me so I almost hit the ground. I then do the same with Fulton. The Bash Brothers and I then share a mischievous look. As everyone keeps singing, Dean quickly leans over and drags Averman to the floor with help from us. We immediately start tickling him.

"Be careful!" Connie calls consider how close we are to the fire.

"Yeah, don't kill him!" Jesse adds.

Ignoring them, we keep the attack going. Without thinking, I lick the side of his face to make it worse. We quickly push him up and back to his space on his log.

"Ew! She licked me!" Averman whines as he wipes his face with his sleeve.

Everyone who wasn't singing - including Bombay - laugh at him before continuing the song. I look over and see Jesse and cake-eater really going for it. As the song ends, we all clap and laugh.

"Nice playing, Dwayne!" Coach calls.

"Yeah, that was awesome!" Guy states with a huge smile.

"That was a great surprise, cowboy." Charlie adds.

"Yeah, thanks, Tex." I turn to him.

"My pleasure!" Dwayne takes a bow before sitting back between Averman and Dean.

We stay here for hours before we hit the hay. Sitting around this fire on a clear night with my favourite people in the universe is everything I could want and more. It's perfect. I just wish I could freeze time and stay here forever. We should do this more often.
