Why I still love you

Chapter 27

Akansha was sitting in the park waiting for  Abhishek to come to tell him her decision when he arrived.

"Hi Akansha"

"Hi Abhishek"

"Anything important to tell??"- he asked her.

Akansha was thinking how to tell me but nonetheless she has to tell him the truth today or tomorrow it doesn't matter. So why not today.

"I don't know how to tell you this"- she was hesitating to tell him.

"You can tell me without any hesitation.I will not feel bad"- he said without being aware that she was going to break his heart.

"I..... Can't.......... Marry ..... You.."- she stuttered and closed her eyes . She doesn't have courage to see his heartbroken face. She is cursing herself for her stupid and at the moment decisions.

"I am extremely sorry for this!! You deserve a life partner who will give her 100 percent in the husband - wife relationship  but I can't do that.I agreed to your marriage proposal just for my family happiness but I forgot about your happiness. It would have been unfair to you if you had gotten married to me"- After speaking these things , Akansha felt like some burden has been removed from her.

Abhishek was silent for a minute after hearing her words but then he took her hands in his and spoke.

"I am glad that at least you considered me as a good friend to tell me this thing before marriage "- his voice was faltering but he remained calm.

"God forbid If the marriage would have happen, not only our life but our families relationship would also have been complicated"

She was noticing that he was trying to be brave. "I have always considered you as my good friend. That's why I didn't want to  keep you in dark". She was trying to give him courage.

"I will not ask you the reasons for your sudden decision change but Can I ask you one question as a friend"- he asked to her.

"Yeah sure"

"Do you have someone else in your life??"- his question shocked Akansha. What should she reply to his question. The obvious answer was  she  loves Veer in all the past ,present and future tenses. No one could take his place. But she can't give him this answers. So  she used the word which most of her generation uses now.

"IT'S COMPLICATED".

Two weeks have passed since the conversation between Akansha and Abhishek. He graciously accepted her decision and told her family that he isn't interested in marrying Akansha. He is involved with someone else. Her family members were heartbroken hearing this especially Akansha Mother and Kavya but they didn't push him for reasons. He has his own life choices and they didn't want to interfere in that. Akansha Mother was particularly sad because according to her, she has lost a good marriage alliance and the chance to wed in a good and their known family. She was worried what has fate stored for her daughter.

"Di, look at that earring. It's gorgeous na"- Aranya asked Akansha.

"Yeah it is".

"Mam look at this pink polki set. It will look good on all dresses"- The shop attentand said to Akansha mother who was busy looking at other jewellery sets too.

"Ah... Show us that green kundan choker set "-  her mother said to attentand who took out the set lying behind him.

"Maa ,me and khusi are going to the clothes section"- Aranya said to her mother  who nodded.
