"You got ready, he will be coming at any moment"- Akansha Mother asked her.

"yeah Maa, I am ready from the last half an hour but he hasn't come till now"-Akansha replied to her mother.

"He is a busy man , He might have got stuck in some work"- Her mother was trying to make her understand why he possibly got late.

"Now you are taking his side"- Akansha was trying hard to hide her smile at her mother silly excuses.

"Didi, Understand it na .. Maa wants to come in good books of jiju so that after marriage he takes good care of her precious daughter"- Aranya gazed at her mother who was busy making some kind of list.

"Control your tongue, Aru"- Janki admonishes her younger daughter who left the room as quickly as she came into it.

Akansha was enjoying the bantering session between her mother and sister when her phone ranged. She looked at the caller ID and quickly got up from her sitting position and straighten her dress.

"Has he come??"- Janki asked and Akansha nodded her head in affirmation.

"Choose whatever you like"- She advised her daughter and let her go.

Akansha came out of her house and walked towards Veer car.
"Has he lost his manners or what?? Doesn't he have courtesy left in him??"- she was furious that he didn't came out of the car to receive her.

She tried to open the car doors but it was locked from inside. She tapped on the glass windows to signal him to open the door but he was busy talking on the phone. After full five minutes of her standing in the sun, he opened the lock and and she entered the car and closed the door with a bang. She understood that he was doing all this to irrirate her.

After standing in the sun for few minutes, Akansha was sweating profusely which didn't go unnoticed by Veer.He increased the cooling capacity of car which made Akansha smile.

"He still cares!! He still cares!!"- This was the mantra she was continuously chanting in her mind in the whole journey to make herself happy.

Both of them reached their destination, a jewellery shop.He instructed her to wait for him while he parked the car. They have come here to buy Akansha Mangalsutra(Nuptial chain) so that she could herself chose her favourite design. Afterall it was she who had to wear it for her whole life and if she herself don't like the design, what's the benefit of it. By the way It was Veer's mother idea that Akansha herself chose the design.

"Buy whatever you want but make it fast"- He said and held her hands by her wrist . His tight grip on her hand was giving her pain but she chose not to say anything.

They entered the shop and Akansha began describing her requirements to the staff present there. The female staff was giving Veer a little more inportance seeing which Akansha really wanted to give them a piece of mind but she didn't want a fiasco so she ignored them.

Veer was getting impatient sitting idle there and doing nothing .After struggling for one hour and almost checking out 30 pieces, Akansha eyes landed on a design which really attracted her. It had three small perfectly shaped round diamonds encrusted and held together with black beads.

She was admiring its beauty when the helper broke her trance.

"You can try this out mam"- The helper said and took out it from the box. She handed it over to Akansha who put it on her neck without tying its end from the back and stared herself in the mirror to see how it was looking on her.

"Sir, Can you please help Mam in tying its string"- The helper asked Veer who didn't have any choice but to help Akansha.

He stood behind where Akansha was sitting and removed her hair sideways. He held the chain and was going to tie its both end when Akansha interrupted him when she realised what both of them were going to do.
