"Congratulations didi and jiju"- Aranya shouted on the top of her lungs which made the guests chuckled.

All the people came towards them and congratulated them.They kept happy smile on their faces and thanked everyone. All their family , friends , close relatives, near and dear ones all were genuinely happy for the good looking couple. He was looking handsome and charming and she was not looking less than an mesmerising nymph.

Yes !!! you guessed it right. It was the engagement party of  Son of Mr and Mrs Shergill and daughter of Mr and Mrs Malhotra. In Short ,  Akansha got engaged to Veer.

Now the most important  question on this planet right now ,  how did they both get agreed to this??  And the most simple answer to this most complex question is the same old technique used by Indian families. The Arrange Marriage alliance and emotional blackmailing.

Flashback

After that friday night party, Vanita Shergill and Janki Malhotra became good friends and met each other on numerous occasions. On one such occasion , Both ladies discussed about their kids and the marriage conversation happened. He was the only son Of Mrs Shergill and she was the eldest daughter of her family, they could make a perfect match.

Their financial status almost matched, in fact the Shergill's were a little bit on the higher side than the Malhotra's , but who wouldn't want their daughter to be married in a family more prosperous than their own, their religion was  also same and both the families commanded equal respect in the society.It would be  perfect  to convert their friendship between their families into a legal relationship through their kids.

When Akansha mother told her about this,  Akansha  laughed like a mania. Was destiny pulling a cruel joke on her ?? or was she experiencing a dream. She had to  pinch herself twice  to make sure that it was happening in reality and not a dream.  After coming in her senses,  she outright rejected her mother proposal. How could she come in his life again  when she  pushed him away herself when she was not fine and now when she is alright physically, she should try to enter his life. It would be selfish of her to think like that.

But her mother wouldn't take a no for answer. Her mother  hopes had broken after Abhishek  rejected her daughter but the  marriage proposal  from Veer mother came like a blessing. Her desires to get her daughter married in a good family again got reignited. She was as stubborn as her daughter. She used the last trick that Indian mothers use that is Emotionally blackmailing her daughter about the family reputation and the future of her little sisters marriage alliance.If the elder sister will not get married at an appropriate age, who will  send the marriage alliances for the  other two sisters??

She didn't  talk with Akansha  for whole one week and wasn't eating properly also. This was taking  a toll on her health and that was disturbing Akansha. But One day , she fainted from weakness  and her only demand was Akansha approval. Akansha finally relented  to her mother wish and agreed with a heavy heart.

Convincing Veer was even tougher. First of all he didn't even wanted to  hear Akansha name , marrying her was out of question.But Vanita(Veer mother) only wanted Akansha as her daughter-in-law. She was impressed by the helping nature of Akansha in this selfish world.  She only hoped  that this girl could bring  some colours in her son dull life.

But he was adamant  not to fall prey to his mother insane demand. But something clicked in his mind and he changed his decision and  himself went to his mother and agreed  to her proposal. First his mother couldn't believe her ears but her own son  made her believe that he was not joking. His mother was shocked but nonetheless she was dancing with joy on getting a daughter in law like Akansha.
