RACE 2 - Max Verstappen

Daniella walked the red carpet of the BRITs awards alone as photographers took multiple photos of her. Since last year she has grown much more comfortable in front of the cameras and the media, and not shy to steal the show. 

She smiled and gave some interviews before stepping inside the arena where the show is being held. 

She spotted Lando and his girlfriend in the hallways who stopped for her to catch up to them. 

"Wait, did you two get inside through the backside entrance?" Daniella asked since she didn't notice them at the red carpet. 

"Maybe…" Lando slightly blushed. 

"He was too shy," His girlfriend added. 

"Never change, Lando. Never change," Daniella smiled as the three of them started walking. 

"Where have you been?" Lando asked. "I barely see you these days."

"Busy at the factory," Daniella replied. "And the car launch is coming up so…"

"You know, he only agreed to present the award tonight because he was told that you will present with him," His girlfriend smiled, earning a glare from him. "He was shaking before that."

Daniella chuckled. 

"Stop throwing me under the bus," Lando mumbled. "And I was not shaking," He said to Daniella who was trying not to smile. 

"But who told you I am presenting tonight?" Daniella pretended to be confused. 

"What?" Lando's face went pale. "You are not presenting the award with me? I have to present it alone?" He jumped to conclusions and started to regret coming to the show. 

Daniella tried to keep a straight face as long as she could as Lando panicked, but after a few seconds she couldn't hold it any longer and burst out laughing. 

Lando figured out that she was messing with him and playfully pushed her away. "You are so mean Dani."

"I know, it is one of my many amazing qualities," She gave a cheeky smile. "You should have seen your face."

"Shut up!"

"Did you watch it?" Max asked Daniella through facetime. He called her as soon as the Red Bull car launch finished streaming, and he wanted to know if his former teammate watched it or not. 

"No, I or hello?" Daniella sarcastically asked, making Max roll his eyes. 

"I don't think I need to waste time with those formalities with you," Max replied. "Did you watch it or not?"

"I did," She replied as she flipped the camera to show him her laptop, her youtube was opened and Max was pleased to see that she watched the stream. 

"Happy?" She asked as she flipped the camera back. 

"Yeah…but I would have been more happy if you were still in Red Bull," Max replied, pretending to be unbothered. 

"Aren't you happy that I am now driving for the best team in F1 and have the best teammate?" Daniella smirked, the annoyed look on Max was a victory for her. 

"We were the best teammates Dani," Max argued as he rolled his eyes. "And don't forget, I always let you take my headphones and chargers even though you never returned them back. I bet Lewis won't do that for you."

"No.." Daniella slightly pouted. "Instead he will buy me new ones."

Max rolled his eyes, but knew Daniella was enjoying the conversation as he grew more annoyed. 

"Speaking of teammates, how is Checo?" Daniella asked. 

"He is okay, nice guy…but he is not you," Max honestly replied. "And Pierre recently had a fight with Christian.."

"He thought he was getting the seat?" Daniella huffed. 

Max nodded. 

"Let's forget about all that…" Max sighed. "When are you coming to Monaco again?"

"Right after the car launch," Daniella replied. "I have a meeting with the interior designer, we were talking about renovating the house a little bit before I move in."

"The house is fine as it is," Max chuckled in disbelief. "What more do you want?"

"It is fine, but not perfect," Daniella smiled. 

"That means you will not be moving in next month as you originally planned," Max pointed out. 

"No," Daniella shook her head. "It will take a few more months to get everything done and get the house fully furnished. If I am not wrong I will be able to move to Monaco by the end of April or May."

Max nodded but was disappointed to hear that. 

"Anyway," Daniella let out a tired breath. "I have to go now…I didn't sleep at all last night, I really need to sleep now."

"Why? You were out partying?" Max sarcastically asked. 

"No..but I wish," Daniella replied. "My sister had her first heartbreak yesterday, she came over and was crying the entire night."

"Oh I remember my first heartbreak," Max dramatically said. "It was when you joined Mercedes."

Daniella can't help but chuckle. 

"Goodbye Max," She smiled. 

"See you later Daniella," He smiled back before ending the call.
