This is an obscure character but I like him and I'm adding him. However, he isn't a creepypasta. His creator refers to him as a Slenderverse OC.

Appearance/Info

His name is Rodrigo Ortiz, and he was born in Chile before moving to America as a young boy for his father's work. They settled in Burlington, Vermont. He was born on February 27th and he's over 28 years old. He's 5'11 with long, messy, wavy black hair and unexpressive light brown eyes. He's got scars all over his body with his most prominent ones being the ones over his lips, right cheek, and face. Part of his left ear is missing and he has unkempt stubble on his face. The Operator symbol appears on his left wrist as a cut.

Rodrigo's father was a criminal investigator and had the family moved to America so he could pursue a career in the FBI. Rodrigo adored his father, but as his father chased after Slenderman and his proxies unknowingly, he became more distant from his family which caused Rodrigo to feel neglected. One night, he overheard that his father finally had a lead on the disappearance/murder cases happening near the forest. Rodrigo snuck into his father's unlocked car in excitement, wanting to see the case for himself. As they arrived and his father got out not knowing Rodrigo was in the back, Rodrigo was caught by the proxy in the hideout being raided. He dragged Rodrigo away and thought that by giving him to Slenderman, he'd be spared and protected from Rodrigo's father. He cut a mark into Rodrigo's wrist but was shot and killed by his father. This event severely traumatized Rodrigo but with therapy, he managed to begin feeling normal again after a couple of years. At times, Rodrigo's scar on his wrist would burn, and he noted that it formed into the shape of an 'x'. His family experienced weird glitches and power outages before Rodrigo moved out with some of his friends.

Upon returning home one night he got a severe headache and began feeling nauseous, throwing up blood and passing out. He noticed his scar now had an 'o' over the 'x'. (What if Slenderman is just trying to play tic-tac-toe.) After all of this, Slenderman finally speaks to him. He orders him to kill his father and collect his research, but Rodrigo resists. Slenderman's influence is strong though, so he does what he says even though he doesn't want to. He collects the research but when his father comes in and tries to talk to him, Slenderman tells him to grab his gun. He doesn't, still refusing, but Slenderman begins to strangle his father. Rodrigo screams and tries to stop him which catches his mother's attention. As she comes in, things change and Rodrigo finds himself holding his father's throat and strangling him. His father is dead. He lets go in horror and runs, collecting the research on his way out. Slenderman tells him to kill his mother since she was a witness but he adamantly refuses and flees to the cabin where he was originally marked by the proxy.

Slenderman allows his mother to live and hands Rodrigo his doll that he'd left at home, telling him it reminded him of Rodrigo. The doll was stitched by his mom to replicate his imaginary friend, a cat. It was very special to him and he carried it everywhere. The night he was attacked, the proxy had slashed its face, but it was stitched back by his mother. He still carries the doll with him everywhere and becomes violent when it's touched. Any sort of cut that appears on the doll, Rodrigo replicates on himself. At an unspecified point in time, he finds a black cat and keeps him as a pet.

Traits

Rodrigo hates Slenderman and wishes to escape him, but he follows his orders reluctantly due to the torture inflicted upon him for disobeying. He kills people quickly as he doesn't like to harm the innocent. His cat (the real one, not the stuffed one) distracts his victims for him so he can kill them without them knowing. He notes that it's almost like his cat knows what's going on and he wonders if the cat is influenced by Slenderman.

He's antisocial and prefers to only talk as much as he has to. Oftentimes he seems absent, but he is paying attention. He lies about personal information to avoid having to become close to others. He may seem cold, but he is still human under his façade. He feels empathy for others and will listen/leave small gifts when he notices his fellow proxies going through something really rough.

His only friend is Kate the Chaser, another proxy, and he didn't consider her a friend for 2 years. Only after his cat allowed Kate to pet him did he consider them friends. She was respectful of his boundaries which also helped. In addition to being protective over his doll, he is protective over his cat, Loki. Kate is the one person mentioned as having been able to touch Loki.

He suffers from insomnia, even before he was a proxy, and he dreams of Slenderman often. As a result, he usually only gets 2 hours of sleep, but he can crash for 14 when really tired.

Motive

His only motive is fear of being tortured. He murders reluctantly.

Method

Depending on who he is sent to kill, he might stalk his victim for a time to learn their daily routine and the best time to strike. If he doesn't stalk them for a prolonged period, he follows them home and kills them quickly. He uses his stealth more than anything else.

Weapon(s)

He has flexible cat-like claw gloves that he received from the proxy who marked him.

Theories

I know it's probably obvious just by reading, but I do want to add that I don't think Rodrigo killed his father by accident. I think Slenderman did strangle him to death but at the last moment, put Rodrigo there instead in order to push him over the edge. Not knowing if he killed his father or not is something that haunts him, just like Slenderman wants.

It's kind of strange that Rodrigo had an imaginary cat friend when he was little and then miraculously finds a cat that assists in his murders. This is a weird theory but I feel that maybe the cat isn't alive/an actual cat. I think kids can see things others can't, like spirits. Maybe as a child Rodrigo saw this cat spirit or cat-like entity and as he grew up and forgot about it, he became a proxy. Being subjected to a supernatural creature like Slenderman constantly can probably open your eyes to the other world, and when his eyes were opened again, he saw the cat and they became companions. I think this explains the enigmatic nature of the cat well since it seems to know Rodrigo has to kill people and therefore assists him in doing it. Or maybe it really is just a cat Slenderman influenced since he knew Rodrigo had a thing for cats. Who knows?

I personally really like this story a lot! It's one of the more interesting stories that I enjoy. I do agree on the part where Slenderman keeps Rodrigo guessing on whether or not he actually killed his father because it gives him more control. It's easy for Rodrigo to submit if he blames himself more. Which then leads him to depend on the Slenderman. It also seems like the Slenderman has the answer to what actually happened, so I can assume that Rodrigo could possibly want to stick around for that answer. But again, he hates Slenderman. It could be his motive, I don't know. I just wanted to guess a bit. - Brinlee
