This version of Jane, like Homicidal Liu, is based on 2011 Jeff. I'm assuming Jane Richardson is as well.

Appearance/Info

Originally she was a 13-14 year old girl with brown hair and green eyes. She described herself as a plain-jane, ironically enough. After being burned by Jeff, her skin turned leathery and brown and all of her hair was burnt off. He gifted her a long black dress with a turtleneck, black gloves, a black wig with long curly hair, and a white mask with a black feminine smile. Her eyes aren't black, but the eye holes in the mask have black lace covering them so they appear that way when she wears it. She can see through it.

Her story starts with her witnessing Jeff and Liu being targeted by Randy, Troy, and Keith. She notes that she sees Jeff enjoying the fight a little too much which puts a pit in her stomach. She can tell from Liu's face that Jeff never fights and that he views this as unusual as well. She thinks of Jeff as a freak after this, but upon seeing him cry when Liu took the blame and went to a detention center, she leaves him a note of support on his desk. She signed it with only a 'J'.

Things move forward normally and Jane witnesses Jeff at a children's party playing with the kids. She regrets thinking of him as a freak upon seeing him act childishly, but then she sees the three goons from before hopping the fence and threatening everyone with guns. They attack Jeff and get him into the house, not allowing anyone to call the police. However, Jane does since she viewed the whole thing from the window and wasn't spotted by them. She hears Jeff's screams and sees fire coming from the house so she rushes over with a fire extinguisher. She faints upon seeing him on fire but the adults put him out.

She awakes in the hospital and is released, finding out Liu had also been released from the detention center. Jane and her family are invited to Jeff's house for dinner once he's healed due to his parents being grateful to her for bringing a fire extinguisher. When she sees him from her window walking into his house with his new face, she faints. She wakes up later and notices him from across the street in his window, also finding a note telling her everyone was already at his house. She's alone and fears the worst, so she takes a knife and goes over to Jeff's house. She doesn't want to ask neighbors for help because she fears he'd hurt them, and all the phone lines in her house are dead.

When she arrives and he opens the door, she sees his carved smile and burnt eyelids and faints for the third time. (Are you kidding me, can this bitch stay awake.) She wakes up tied to a chair and gagged to see Jeff's family, Jane's parents, and three of Jane's friends sitting in chairs dead. They have smiles carved into their faces and their chests are carved wide open. She surprisingly doesn't faint but after a brief exchange with Jeff in which she calls him a "Joker-reject", she's lit on fire. Jeff had called the fire department ahead of time so they arrived in time to save her life.

She wakes in the hospital again and upon being told her family died in the fire (since the police didn't know they'd been murdered, somehow), she begins to cry. She's put into a medically induced coma to heal and then wakes for the final time. She demands a mirror upon awakening and is horrified at her new appearance. She sobs again and when she finishes, flowers and a gift box arrive for her. Jane asks for food from the nurse so she can get her out of the room while she opens the gift, and upon opening it, she finds the dress and other items I mentioned previously. The flowers sent to her were black roses which the nurse throws out as she finds them weird. Jane thanks her for this and once she leaves the room, she escapes in her new clothes.

She vows to get revenge on Jeff and begins using the name Jane Everlasting. She also adds in this comment: "As for the photo that has been popping up of me saying: 'Don't go to Sleep, You won't wake up' that pretty much explains what I want to do with Jeff's victims, prevent them from becoming victims in the first place. Whoever said that I kill them so they don't get killed by Jeff is a gross overstatement."

From this, it's made clear that although she wishes she could save Jeff's victims, she doesn't kill them. Instead, she tries to find Jeff and kill him herself.

See, this is better. Sort of. The fainting part kept making me laugh because it makes no seNSE. - Brinlee

Traits

Before the incident she was a normal girl, she showed care and concern for others but did so rather quietly. She was a bit shy and minded her own business, staying out of the spotlight.

Afterwards she remained mostly the same other than having a strong desire to kill Jeff as payback for what he'd done to her and her loved ones.

Motive

Her sole motive is revenge.

Method

She has no method described since she hasn't killed in canon. (I read that in a second story written by her author she did, but I can't find any story other than the original so I cannot say for sure.)

Weapon(s)

She took a knife from her kitchen which Jeff returned to her in the gift box.

Theories

To most, it seems that Jeff spared Jane and took an interest in her for no real reason. It's clear he wanted her to live since he called the fire department ahead of time and didn't injure her at all other than the fire, but why? I think he just wanted to make her "beautiful", in his own demented way. However, I think he did have a reason for it that was easy to miss. Jane left a note on his desk after Liu was taken to the center for delinquents expressing her support, but she didn't sign her full name. She wanted it to be anonymous so she only left a 'J'. I think Jeff knew it was her, though. They were neighbors and classmates, he could recognize her handwriting easily by taking a quick peek at her work. Not to mention, there couldn't have been too many kids that had names starting with a 'J' in their class. Jeff wasn't fully insane by this point so maybe when he did finally snap, any appreciation he had for the note twisted into a strange obsession and desire to make her beautiful like him. He viewed them as friends, so in his eyes, he was returning the act of kindness. That's all I've got, tell me what you think below. <3

Jeff could have killed off her family due to them knowing who he truly was previously as well. Maybe he didn't want many people from his childhood identifying him later. But, since Jane showed some kindness towards him, maybe he thought he should spare her a bit. Like, he spared her but with a warning. A warning that meant that he would do worse next time? Who knows. There's no rationalizing his reasoning since he's a killer lmfao. But I thought it'd be best if I could think outside the box for a second. - Brinlee
