The chapter photo was drawn by his author, that's what he canonly looks like.

In the story, a person goes back to their childhood home to stay with their parents. The village they lived in has become more desolate, less people living there and some places left abandoned. The person goes on a walk in the woods and comes across a wooden house that used to belong to a forester, his wife, and their two kids. The protagonist knew them when they were younger, they got along well. When Protag goes closer they discover that the house is abandoned, an unusual amount of cobwebs everywhere and belongings scattered about. Furniture was still there, covered in dust, which the protag finds strange. They figure if the family moved they'd have taken their things, but everything seemed to have been left behind as if they left suddenly.

The protag's mother calls them home and as they turn to leave, they notice the barn doors next to the house are slightly open. They're swaying slightly, and at first protag doesn't see anything, but they then think they can faintly see a human shape inside. They brought a camera with them so they use the zoom function to look into the barn. They see nothing out of the ordinary and go home with the intention of going back the next day.

Protag tells their mother about the abandoned home, and she finds it strange as she remembers seeing the forester's wife shopping a few days ago. She didn't notice anything wrong with the woman, but says she'll try to figure out what happened.

The next day comes and the protag goes back to the abandoned house. They don't find anything interesting except the carcass of a rat, dried out with only skin and bones remaining. Then, the protag hears a small squealing noise and feels something drop into their hair. Whatever it is, it begins writhing around. They pick it out and end up crushing it, looking up to see a large swarm of spiders on the ceiling. The longer the protagonist stared at them, the sicker they felt. (I can't believe this fucker just stood there and stared at them after that happened. I would have let out such an ungodly scream and started smacking my head hard enough to concuss myself trying to get the spider out.) They wipe the dead spider off their hand and jump out of the window. (Much more appropriate response.)

Protag walks away from the home and goes into the barn to explore. The barn doors won't stay open, so they explore with the door shut and their flashlight out. Their flashlight batteries haven't been changed, so it barely lights anything. Then their flashlight dies and almost immediately, they begin to hear the same squealing sound they did in the house. They also hear quiet whispers amongst the squeals, but they're unable to make anything out as the voice isn't human. They turn to the doors, which they notice are covered in cobwebs and spiders despite having just been clear. They then sense a human presence, turning and just barely being able to make out the shape of a man descending from the ceiling like a spider. Protag pulls out their phone to try and use their flashlight, but they drop it. For a moment they see the man's smile before the light goes out. He speaks, asking protag if they're afraid and assuring them there's no reason to be. (My ASS.) Protag isn't having any of this and sees a wide enough crack in the wall to possibly get through, so they move toward it to try and make their escape. This is unsuccessful though as many spiders immediately jump on their hands and begin biting, crawling right back to the protag even if they fall off. Looking at them on the floor the protagonist notices something else is down there. A hand, dried out like the rat carcass with only skin and bone left.

The man in the shadows steps forward a bit and raises a hand toward the protagonist, causing the spiders to freeze. He says again that there's no reason to be afraid, and that his spiders didn't want to treat them like the others they had manhandled and killed. (The previous homeowners, except the wife.) He mentions that he and his friends (the spiders) will start to try and desensitize protag to get rid of their fear. Exposure therapy, I guess. How do they do that? They swarm protag even more, preventing them from breathing and crawling all over their eyes, mouth, and nose. Protag falls to the floor, weak and unable to fight the spiders off. The spiders crawling on them is painful, their tiny feet feeling like sharp pokes that even their clothes can't protect them from.
