"After a tragic car accident... I was reborn as a Yo-Kai! Kuma!" Monokuma said wearing a Yo-Kai costume. To that response, Korekiyo gave some speech between the difference between Yo-Kai and ghosts and other versions of those. You paid a little more attention this time. These things seemed to be correlating with the main story... so perhaps you are going on the right track. Although you were definitely worried about what Rantaro wanted to say to you.

"This is why I hate teenagers! I'd have cash for days with the under 10 crowd!" Monokuma just went on about how the killing game would now continue. The same people were surprised, or upset. While a few of us were obviously expecting it. "Is that so? Did you predict this exciting development though?" The grin on Monokuma's face became wider, and his voice was sinister. Despite you already knowing what he was going to announce, you couldn't help but feel uneasy. "If a murder does not occur by nighttime two days from now... then every student forced to participate in this killing game will be mauled by countless Monokuma from the rumored Monokuma making machine!"

Fear overtook all of the ultimates in an instant.

"What do we do? Nighttime in two days will be here in an instant..." Tsumugi asked.

Himiko shook her head and muttered. "I don't wanna die..."

Soon after that bickering broke out. Kaito and Kokichi both riled up the crowds. Kaito with his talks of "not having a plan yet" and Kokichi with his cryptic words.

"Will you accept the blame if I die? I have people that will be sad if I die, y'know?" Kokichi spoke outloud.

The hesitation was clear in Kaede's voice. But this time those words struck you too. Will I be accepting the blame of everyone that dies now? Did I even accept that burden before?  For a moment you thought back to Maki's death. How much did you care about that? You used her life for your own satisfaction. Did you ever feel guilty?

Kokichi running out of the dining hall snapped you out of your thoughts. You just watched as everyone else left. Although this time Rantaro was still waiting in the dining hall. "(Y/N)? Can we talk for a bit."

You just nodded, and followed Rantaro out of the dining hall. He lead you to the dorm rooms and went up to his own. "If you don't mind we can talk in my dorm, I don't exactly want everyone to hear what I'm going to say." Rantaro said. He opened the door to his dorm and motioned for you to walk inside. You smiled slightly at him and just walked in.

"So Rantaro... what do you need to tell me?" You asked.

Rantaro closed the door behind him and let out a sigh. "(Y/N), there's probably a traitor in our midst."

You paused for a second. No, you weren't shocked from his news. You were shocked at why Rantaro was telling you. "Why are you telling me this?"

Rantaro tilted his head at you. "Aren't you more concerned about the presence of a traitor?"

You shook your head a bit. "I am concerned, but not shocked. Monokuma did say... 'everyone forced to participate' would die. That automatically implies that someone wasn't forced." You sighed a bit. "That's why I don't get why you'd trust me."

"Well...." Rantaro pulled out a monopad that was a little too familiar to you. "Here take a look at this note that was on my Monopad." He handed you the monopad, and you skimmed over the note on there. "I was with you the entire day yesterday, and at nighttime Kokichi confirmed you were in the room the entire night. So you couldn't have had the time to go make another Monokuma. Meaning you're likely not the traitor." Rantaro sat on his bed. "Which is why I'm telling you this."

This definitely did not happen. Definitely did not. Okay... time to get things back on track. "No offense Rantaro.... but what do you want me to do with this information? I don't know how we're going to catch this mastermind."

"I need your help." Rantaro started. "There's a secret entrance in the library that probably leads to the Monokuma making machine. When the mastermind goes there and opens the door I'll find out who it is. I just need you to be my back up in case they attack me first."

You paused. Technically, this was a good idea. You would also know that Tsumugi was the one to actually have committed the murder if Rantaro does get murdered. You'd be able to end the game a whole lot faster... But I have one try left... is...the risk worth it? For now though, you couldn't think of a single reason why you could say no to this plan. "Alright Rantaro, of course I'll help. I want this killing game to end as much as you do." If I decide that the risk is too great... I'm sorry Rantaro but I'll have to ditch you at the last minute.

Rantaro smiled at you. "Thank you (Y/N). Oh and I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone about this okay?" You just nodded in response. "Good, anyway. We'll meet up an hour or two before the deadline. Let's just hope nobody breaks before then."

You nodded. "I don't think anyone here will... but I'll keep an eye out just in case." You walked out to start leaving his room. "Thank you for trusting me Rantaro."

Rantaro laughed at that. "You say 'Thank you' way too much. You said it twice during our conversation yesterday."

You couldn't help but wistfully smile at him. "I guess it's just cause I have a lot to be thankful for." You opened the door to his dorm so you could leave.  "I'll see you later than Rantaro." You closed the door behind you after you left, not waiting to here him say anything back.

This...is not good.

Ohhhh??

Things are changing up quite a lot huhhhh???

What do you guys think'll happen? Will (Y/N) end the game earlier with Rantaro? Or will Rantaro still suffer his same canonical fate?

Anyway though, not much to say... but as always...
