JJs POV
it's Sunday evening now and Emily Mara and I just finished with dinner and I am currently helping Emily clean up while Mara played in her room with my phone. Yes she has her iPad but when she pulls he whole 'Momma please' I really can't resist
After I put her to bed that night I was still too shocked and surprised to even comprehend what happened so the next morning when she called
Me momma and was waking me up I remembered her asking if I was her momma and the joy I felt was like nothing ever before,
Emily even shot up out of bed when she heard mara and mara just stood there smiling at the both of us. She had gotten a lot more comfortable with Emily Over the course of being with us
"So I don't think I'm ready" I tell Emily once we finish cleaning up
"Ready for what?" She asked
"To go back to work tomorrow, We'll go back into the field tomorrow" I explain, and she nods
"Jayje that is fine, I'm sure Hotch won't mind. You don't even have to go back but I know you and I know you will be bored out of your mind" she says and I smile
"It's just I want to slowly introduce leaving Mara with Pen instead of just dropping her" I say
"I know, and that's okay. We have been fine the past few weeks and we will be fine now" Emily says and give me a kiss
"Momma phone" I hear mara say, breaking me out of my thoughts as she hands me my phone and I answer without looking at who it was
"Jennifer Jareau"
"JJ hi! It's me Carina, I was calling to see if you and Emily had anything planned this week? Maya got a week off of work and we were hoping to come see you"
"Oh my god that's great, and we have work but I will still be here"
"Perfetto! We should arrive tomorrow"
"Just let me know when and we can meet up"
"See you tomorrow. Cioa!"
"Who was that?" Emily ask and picks Mara up resting her on her hip
"Carina, supposedly they are coming for a visit" I explain
"Sucks I won't be here, hopefully the case will end soon" Emily says and I nod
"Mara go head back to the bathroom baby so we can get you in the bath" I tell her and Emily puts her down
"With you?" She asked
"I will sit next to you and hold you when you're done" I tell her and she sighs but walks back the hallway
She has been getting better, with eating and with bathing, although she still won't move off of my lap while she eats but she will feed her self at least half of it,
She will also get into the bath by herself as long as I am sitting on the floor next to the tub that is
"Why don't you give her a quick bath and we can all watch a short movie together in our bed?" Emily asked
"That sounds perfect" I smile and kiss her lips and make my way to the bathroom to help Mara
Once the tub was full i helped her undress and into the tub and she sat down and allowed me to wash her hair first
"Guess what Emmy is doing?" I ask
"What?" She questions
"She is getting a movie set up in our room before bed!" I say enthusiastically and she smiles and stands up
"Done now" she says and tries to climb out with bubbles all over her
"I know, let's get these bubbles off first yea?" I say and she just drops back into the tub
After getting her out and dressed she left me and ran into the room to climb into bed with Emily
"Momma hurry!" She yells and I smile and quickly go into the bedroom so she wouldn't keep yelling
"You called?" I chuckle and get into bed next to her
"Momma?" She questions and I smile
"Yes ladybug?" I ask
"I'm thirsty" she says and Emily laughs
"I bet if you ask really nicely Emmy will go get your cup" I say and Emily opens her mouth to say something but Mara beats her to it
"Emmy you please get my cup?" Mara ask and I try not to laugh as Emily glared at me, it's impossible to say no to her little face
"Yes I'll go get your cup" Emily sighs and Mara giggles and cuddles into Emily's spot on the bed
A few minutes later Emily walked back in and handed Mara her cup
"What did you put in it?" I ask as she got back into bed and pressed play
"Vodka" Emily replies and I roll my eyes playfully
"Its just warm milk" Emily say and I nod
Mara laid in the middle of us, her head against the pillows while one of her arms kept her cup in her mouth the other was reaching above her head and twirling her hair
"She'll be asleep soon" Emily says while smiling down at her
"Nuh Uh Emmy" Mara fights but doesn't move from her spot
"Why don't you come over here and lay with me?" Emily ask and I just smile and shake my head as I watch Mara scoot over to Emily, Emily wrapped one arm around her and held Mara closet to her and gently rubbed her back
A few minutes later she was out, completely asleep, she had one arm over Emily and her cup was laying in the bed
"Seriously?" I say surprised she just smiles
"I'm just that good" she says as she moves Maras hair out of her face and kisses her forehead
"I love you Emily" I smile, I couldn't imagine life with her
"I love you more" she smiles and leans over to give me a kiss, still holding Mara close to her

The next morning mara was not wanting to get up, this is the first time we have ever had to wake Mara up so early and she wasn't exactly happy
I managed to get her dressed and she fell back to sleep in our bed
"I packed her a bag yesterday with toys, can you go fill her cup up with juice?" I ask Emily and she nods
After Emily and I finished getting ready and we had Maras things I went to wake her up again
"Mara... come on lady bug, we're going to see Penny" I say and pick her up
"Momma sleepy" she says and lays her head on my shoulder
"I know but you can go back to sleep when we get to the office" I tell her and she nods
"We ready?" Emily asked and I nod
When we got to the office I took Mara out of the car and she fell asleep again on my shoulder
"You want to sit with her in my office while I talk to hotch?" I ask Emily and she nods and I carefully transfer Mara into her arms and go to find hotch

I talked to Hotch and he once again told me to take as much time as I needed and just as I was about to go get Emily so I could brief the team on the newest case my phone went off so I answered it before walking back into my office
"Jennifer Jareau"
"Hi Jennifer, it's Delilah. Maras social worker
"Yes of course. Is everything okay?"
"Well I do have some news, is there a good time to maybe talk with you and your wife?"
"Today? Maybe after lunch.... It's when Mara takes a nap.. what's going on?"
