JJs POV
It's Wednesday morning now and we are heading back to DC.
Penelope said they stayed at the Apartment while we were gone. She also said that Mara did okay. It was a little trouble at meal times and getting in the bath but they were able to work past it
I know it's only been 2 days but it was hell being away from her for that long. I guess after spending every day with her for months we both got a little too attached
When we got back to the office Penelope and Mara was waiting for us at Emily's desk
"Momma! Mommy!" She yells and runs over to as as she seen us and I picked her up and held her close
"Momma! You're back!" She squeals and I smile and kiss her head
"I am! I missed you so so much" I say and she wraps her arms around my neck before going to Emily to give her a hug, not even paying attention to everyone me else
"Mommy! Mommy! Guess what?" She says excitedly as we all walk back over to Penelope
"What?" Emily chuckles
"I got a boyfriend" Mara smiles cheekily and we all look at her
"Nope. No boyfriends" emily says definitely and I take Mara and sit down
"Yes huh. He is my boyfriend" Mara says, making Emily shake her head
"No way. You're 4. You can't have a boyfriend until you're 30!" Emily exclaims
"Nuh Uh. We watched movies together" she says and I smile as emily gasp
"You what? Penelope what are you letting my daughter do?" Emily ask and Derek laughs and stands behind her
"Aww is mommy Prentiss upset?" He teases and have flips him off
"Whose your boyfriend?" I ask her and she blushes and hides her face and mumbles something into my chest
"No one" Emily grumbles and I laugh
"I can't hear you ladybug" I say
"Jack" she says and emilys eyes all but pop out of her head and she looks to Hotch
"Hey. I had nothing to do with this" he says with his hands up
"That's it. No more boys for you" Emily says and Mara sticks her tongue out at her
"You just sad I have a boyfriend and you don't" Mara says, crossing her arms and everyone laughs
"I don't like boys. That's why I married momma" she says and Mara tilts her head
"But you like teddy bear?" She ask confused
"Not that kind of like" I say and she shrugs. already done with that conversation
"We can go home now?" Mara ask me and I smile and kiss her head
"Yea let's go home" I say and the three of us say goodbye and head out to the car
"Boyfriend? Can you believe that?" Emily mumbles as we drive home
"I really can't wait to see you when she is a teenager" I say and she glares at me
"I'm going to have to get her a body guard" she says and I shake my head
Once back at the apartment Mara made up for lost time and the three of us spent the afternoon cuddled in our bed, Mara alternated between the both of us
"You want to order in for dinner? I'm too tired to cook" I say and Emily nods in agreement
"Momma we can take a bath?" She ask from her spot laying on top of me
