You laid on the ground beside Loki, the man you secretly loved, gasping your last, ragged breaths. You could barely endure the pain from to the bloody stab wound in your side, caused by the -now dead by your blade- enemy's spear a short time before, and knew you would inevitably die soon. By pushing Loki out of the way and taking the blow, you saved his life. With a weak, trembling hand, you gave him the locket you always wore around your neck. It held a picture, taken recently, of you and him smiling together, his arm slung casually around your shoulder.
"Take this. Remember me..."
You then gasped one last time, unable to hold on any longer, and the light in your eyes faded as your life came to an abrupt end. Loki watched helplessly as tears of pain and heartbreak rolled down his cheeks, clutching your locket tightly in his hand, the only thing he had left of you.
