It was pretty late at night when you woke up to the sound of the front door opening and the quiet cursing of your boyfriend Clint as he tried to stumble through the house, likely intoxicated to some level. Ever since the fall of SHIELD, Clint hadn't been the same, meeting up with his Avenger friends for a drink more nights than he stayed home with you. This evening, when you wandered into the living room, blinking against the harsh light, you found an obviously drunk Clint slamming his hand against the side of the toaster, cursing at it for not working. You sighed, walking over, and placed your hand on his shoulder.
"Clint, honey, the toaster isn't even plugged in. You're drunk, you need to go to bed."
"Iiii'm not druuunk, the stuuppiid toaster'ssss not workiiiin'!"
