You had worked as a nurse for SHIELD for many years before being recruited by your boss, Nick Fury, to take part in the Avengers Initiative. You'd seen Hawkeye and Black Widow around the Helicarrier every now and then, but otherwise, you had never met any of the team. The first mission you were sent on as a newly established Avenger was to find and rescue Captain America, who'd gone missing the day before. You easily found him, putting your SHIELD espionage work to use (you had learned master tracking and hacking skills even as a nurse) and healed his wounds with simply a touch of your hand. He, understandably, was amazed, as most people were when they saw your healing powers in action for the first time.
"Who... Who are you?"
"Y/L/N. Y/F/N Y/L/N. I suppose I'm your newest teammate."
