You hated it when missions went awry. Especially ones that were supposed to be quick and straightforward. Like this one. Get in, eliminate the HYDRA target, get out. It wasn't even an undercover mission, and your quarry was in a remote location, so civilian casualties would be nonexistent. Aside from that, it turned out HYDRA had been expecting you and Barnes, and your hit-and-run crusade turned into a survive-and-run mission.
"Think they're running out of ammo?" you shouted to your partner over the gunfire, and he grimaced at your attempt at humor.
"Not yet."
He rolled over past a box and shot down two agents running down the stairs toward you. As you two took the chance to sprint to a better position, he tugged on your sleeve and asked;
"Want to grab dinner with me?"
You raised an eyebrow at him and turned past a row of lockers that would provide shelter from flying bullets as you ran.
"When?"
"After this."
You grinned despite the danger and winked at him, raising your gun in sync with Barnes.
