Y/N grinned as she approached her best friends Ned and Peter. "Always a good idea when trying to woo a lovely lady. Who's the lucky girl?" Ned gave a nervous laugh as Peter blanched. "How'd you know that's what we-" You smirked and nudged his arm. "You always get this specific look on your face whenever you're talking about someone you like. Come on, fess up, you know I won't tell anybody."
Peter rubbed the back of his neck, not looking you in the eye.
"Peter?"
Ned looked like he was about to say something, but then the bell rang and you groaned. "Ugh, double calc. Tell me later!" You gave your special wave to Peter as he walked away, but he didn't wave back for the first time in the years of you being friends and instead just smiled weakly after you.
