You sat in the chair beside your boyfriend Steve's hospital bed, wondering why on earth he always seemed to get hurt at the worst possible time. On this occasion, he'd been on one knee, proposing to you, but before you could answer (yes, of course), a group of crazy HYDRA supporters leaped out of nowhere and attacked both of you with crude, makeshift weapons. Steve took most of the blows, protecting you, but he passed out after defeating the last enemy, bleeding quite a bit onto the sidewalk. A few passersby noticed and one called an ambulance, and so here you now were. Steve's eyes finally fluttered open and you sighed in relief.
