Why Couldn't i just stay at home...
A sandstone column collapses into a pile of sand. The Crystal Gems climb over the sand pile, with Steven crawling on the ground and me walking behind him with my arms crossed.
I didnt sign up for this shit...
"W-Water... Water... So thirsty... For water..." Steven said breathless
" You drank the last of the water i had socked away." i say still pissed
" I...N-need...Wattterrrrrrrrr" he stretched out
"It'll be safer if you stand up and walk." pearl said
" And quicker, your going at slug pace yknow" i added
"You two don't... understand... " he keeps crawling "This... Is how... You're supposed to act... in the desert..." soon enough he grew tired of his 'act' and gets up, sweating " Is this the thing? The place?"
"Yes, Steven. " Garnet said to him
A silhouette of a temple can be seen in the distance, as another sandstone column collapses, the power in the structures have turned aimless.
Pearl gasped " It's building columns with no roofs, stairs that go nowhere! This is out of control!"
"Then I guess we better... " Ame said as she leap-frogs over Steven " ... roll on over there. Heheh."
"That was a bit unnecessary." Pearl shook her head
"Nuh-nuh nuh nuh nuh, nuh nuh nuh nuh. " Amethyst says mocking Pearl
Pearl placed a hand to her chest and gasped " Excuse me?! "
Suddenly we hear roar out of nowhere.
"What was that?!" Steven yelled
" Let's go!" Ame said excitedly
"It'll be best if you stay here, Steven." Garnet said
" We'll be quick. Maybe only a few minutes, Indy will be with you" Pearl added in
" What if something eats me?! " Steven shouts
"Do not worry, wet one. " Garnet wipes the sweat off Steven's face and flicks it back at him "There's nothing out here that can harm you. See you soon."
" Okay." Steven said at last and waved at them before gripping my hand nervous
I watch as the Gems head off to investigate, while Steven leads me to a shade under a sandstone column.
"It's. So. Desert. " He puts his shirt over his eyes, when he hears groaning "whats wrong mom? are you hungry? " he asked while i sighed, "Steven honey that wasnt me"
" What was that groaning noise then?" He lifts his shirt and scans the surroundings "Remember what Garnet said." I reminded him
"Nothing can harm me. I, am the Wet One." he said out while i held in a stiffled laugh at his cute act
I spot a shadowy figure and show Steven, It glares in our direction and frightens Steven he ran and hid behind me so i picked him up and jogged to hide around a column.
The figure approaches the column.
" Good thing this column was here, huh mom" I smiled in return
The column collapses, revealing a pink furred lion behind it.
Steven falls out of my arms in fright and begins to panic so shove him lightly behind me and get in a battle stance
"Ah! No no no!" He gasps as a sand wall erects behind him, trapping us. "No, no! " he cowers in fear
