Chapter 82: Merfolk

Suzue stared at the woman laying silently at the bed.

she calmly rubs her hair and sat on the bed er sister is laying and stared at the interior of the room.

The wall are painted in blue and the furniture were plain white. they are inside of one of the inns in the nero.

They went back when their ship that was attacked by the kraken was damaged by its tentacles causing it to sink.

fortunately, a ship happens to be returning that day and they saw them starting to sink.

"Woman, someone is searching for you" suzue stared at the boy who's standing outside the room.

It's been a month since she met the kid and his height is still smaller than the average height of his age.

even though suzue doesn't say it but she's worried to the growth of the kid.

she can even pick him up without everyone's suspicion that he'd passed the age where he needed to be carried.

suzue picked him up and walk downstairs.

halfway on the stairs she saw a woman with beautiful shiny black hair that is tied neatly into a bun.

she seems to notice her gaze causing her to turn towards suzue.

"Rose" she greeted the woman who smiled at her in sadness.

"i talked to henry and he wouldn't disclose any information about my people"

"why are you so desperate to find your fellow mermaids?" suzue didn't want to be rude or anything.

She just asked out of her curiosity.

"so you haven't found it yet?"

suzue didn't react and just sat down opposite of her and said, "I am not a God nor a genius who can immediately figure out your identity"

Suzue asking her about it is already kind enough on her side. she hates helping people ad doesn't really like associating herself with them.

Suzue is once again astonish. She doesn't know why they would immediately tell her a story when she just simply asked. this made her think like she's in a game and this people are NPC.

she laugh at that thought and shook her head mentally. she's starting to turn like hadley.

suzue stared at the woman's desperate face. she sorted at her mind and just lazily smiled at her.

"Henry might be the most favored but among his siblings, he's the most hated. i am certain that the lord isn't the one behind the imprisonment of the mermaids. The lord is wise, he won't want the wrath of the Avaleon duke wouldn't he?"

Rose felt her heart beating rapidly when she remember how unhappy henry felt. her hand is sweating as she think of a reason to justified her heartless rejection towards the innocent young lad.
