"Kendra? Would you like to come with me today?" Mom asked while I was in the library reading some books.

I decided to pass some time here in the house library because I had so muc time to kill. Oddly, I found myself engrossed in these books which I didn't even gave a glance before. Who knew books were so entertaining?

I shut the book before looking at her. "Where are you headed to, Mom?"

"To the mall. Would you like to go with me?" she asked again and I reopened the book.

"I'll be fine here. Enjoy shopping, Mom." I said and smiled at her warmly.

"Okay. I'll just buy you a new pair of heels. Expect your new pair of heels later, darling. I'll be off." she bid goodbye and I waved my hands before focusing on my book again.

I was silently reading my book when Kendrick passed by the library while talking to someone.

"Yeah, I will be there. In Luke's bar, right?" he said and threw on his coat before continuing. " Sure, sure, Zachary. I'll help you with that too."

With the mention of Zachary's name, I lifted my head and looked at Kendrick. He was now descending the stairs and I stood up to catch him up.

"Are you going partying?" I asked after he turned his phone off. He looked at me and smiled.

"Yeah, why?" he asked and looked at me confused. I smiled first before removing my hands on his shoulder.

"Nothing. Enjoy!" I exclaimed and he looked at me like I was a weird person.

"Okay?" he said in a question tone before finally going out of the mansion. I looked at the window and saw his car going out of our residency.

After I made sure he was away, I quickly went to my room to change clothes. I removed my casual clothes and changed into those who fits a bar.

I wore a black flowy dress that reaches the part above my knees. The top part was a mesh and there were intricate designs to cover the chest part. I partnered it with a high heeled boots.  After putting makeup, I drove my car.

The name of Luke's bar can be seen just a few meters way from me. I pulled over to the parking lot and went inside.

I was a bit skeptical to come here because I haven't seen Luke ever since I came back. He might already know I camr back but I didn't came to see him. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to show up here.

"Oh, sure! You want my digit?" a girl asked and I couldn't help but look around me.

It was so long ago before my last visit to a bar. I was feeling out of place all of a sudden. I sighed and roamed my eyes. I was busy looking around when I suddenly spotted Kendrick.

His familiar clothes met my eye and I couldn't help but get excited. I'll just follow him and once I see Zachary, I'll just ask him for a talk. I don't want to keep him in the shadows.

I was too occupied in following Zachary that I did not noticed I bumped into someone I know. She was holding a wine glass and with bawling eyes, she looked at me.

"Kendra? Is that you?" Courtney asked and that made me halt. She was looking at me with happiness in her eyes. Right, I haven't seen her too.

"Hi..." I awkwardly greeted and glimpsed at where Ilast saw Kendrick. Gosh. He was gone.

"Oh my plumpy umpy cakes! I'm glad to see you." she exclaimed and hooked her arm to mine. She was now dragging me off to somewhere.

"Where are we going?" I asked and looked at her, scared.
