A morning update....I thought, why not! :)

Happy and Blissful February to everyone!💕✨

"Bye Yaya Ammar. It was nice spending the day with you" I said as he stopped right in front of our house gate.

"It's my pleasure Mima. I never knew you were so adventurous and nice to be with, I'm looking forward to more of these" He smiled and I reciprocated.

"Sure. But..won't you go in?" I asked. "Nah, another time" I smiled and opened the door.

"Bye" I waved. "Bye" He waved back and I watched as he drove off.

I didn't realize that I've been smiling like a fool..oh Allah!

I turned around only to find Dada stepping out of the gate to go out, probably to the mosque cause it's almost Maghrib time. Oh gosh!! I can't possibly tell him that my 'date' didn't turn up so I spent the day with Yaya Ammar and even sent the driver home!! He'll surely be mad that I didn't bother to tell him, well, atleast I enjoyed my day.

"Uh-hi? Sorry! Good evening dada" I said nervously.

"Evening. Where are you from?" He asked. "Uh-the c-café?" I said

"Oh right. Then why did you send the driver back home?" He slightly glares at me. "B-b-because.. i-i i-i...."

Oh Gosh! I can't even think of a convincing excuse! How nice brain!

"Ohh I see, did Alhaji danbaba drop you off himself? I'm sure he must have sent the driver home so you two can bond well, am I right?" For a minute, for a freaking minute his eyes shouted that he was daring me to say something else.

"Oh—yes. Yess, that's right" I nodded with a forced smile. "You seem to like him already, mashaAllahu" And with that, he walked away.

Ya Allah, please help me! Who is this Alhaji Danbaba for goodness sake and why on earth is he willing to marry his friend's daughter?!

I don't know why but something seems seriously fishy here....

I sauntered into the house after exchanging pleasantries with the guard man.

I opened the door and the occupants in the room made my lips lift into a smile.

"Mims!!" "Yaya Amma!!" I ran and engulfed my sister into a bone crushing hug.

"Yakike?" I asked. "Lafiya wallahi, you?" I nodded with a smile.

"Yaya Sultyy" I winked and hugged her carefully due to her big belly. "How are you sisyyy".

"Fine oo" I sat down on the couch beside Salma.

"Where is Ammi?" I asked. "She went in to do something." I nodded.

"Why are y'all here?" I asked. "I don't understand why are we here, duh. We're here to see our family of course or are you already tired of seeing us?" Yaya Amma glared

"Of course nooo" I rolled my eyes. "Anyways let me tell you the truth" Yaya Sulty said

"Sulty no!" Yaya Amma's face turned serious. "I'm the eldest here Sadiya don't look at me like that. She deserves to know" She said

"What do I deserve to know? Y'all are confusing me" I said worriedly.

"Fine, Yaya Sultana is right, you deserve to know so... the thing is that, we're planning for tomorrow's event".

"Event kuma? Which event?" I asked cluelessly, anxiously, fearfully and nervously

"They are coming to set your wedding date tomorrow" They all sighed. The tension in the room was so thick that it could be easily cut with a scissors.
