•[Let's Talk]•

Nanami glanced at Y/N out of his peripheral vision. She's got her eyes on the outside. He could see her fiddling with the hem of her shirt, biting her lips, bouncing bouncing her foot rapidly. He knows she's on edge. Nanami then realized he's never gotten the chance to really talk to her about Gojo.

Taking one more glance at her he cleared his throat, breaking through the silence. "I know this may be blunt but...do you ever miss him?" He kept his eyes forward but he could see she finally tore her gaze from the outside.

Y/N could do nothing but laugh at first, taken away by the question. "Where'd that come from?" It was near a mumble, almost like she didn't want to answer but did either way with a bit of forced vocal for him to hear her.

Nanami gave a slight shrug of his shoulders. "I was curious."

"Hmm, well...yes...sometimes." She finally answers. Nanami nodded a bit as if telling her he's listening therefore she can continue with what she was saying.

"D-do you think he's home?" He felt like he was prying into her personal life. He didn't want to seem that way and he really didn't want to be talking about Gojo at the moment but...the shadow has been casted and he's already begun so too late now.

"I don't know. Maybe."

"And if he is, what will you do? Do you think you're okay with facing him after six months?" It was quiet for a while. The only thing that could've been hear was the rearing of the car.

"I...i thought I saw him today when I was out. It for a split second but my brain was sure it was him running through the crowd of people. As if he was following someone." Nanami wanted to ask her what that had to do with the question but decided against it. It sounded too rude. "If it wasn't him...i wanted it to be. But he's..." She trails her words, looking out of the window again.

"You still love him?"

She nods. "I wish I hadn't met him, then I wouldn't feel this way. Always wanting to distract myself, always forcing myself to smile around my friends and Itadori. It's tiring. Fake."

"But he did a bad thing. It's not your fault Y/N, you're only human." Nanami could hear her sniffle. He looked at her. The back of her head is facing him, the only thing he can see. He's sure he began to count the strands on her head due to how long his stare was. Not long enough for a crash though. She didn't answer him.  Again it went quiet.

"Do you want to turn back?"

Again no answer. He took that as a no and continued onwards. "Even though he did what he did you still care about him enough to want to check on him." Nanami grins awkwardly. At this point he was embarrassing himself. He'll shut it from here on out.

After five minutes Y/N finally uttered words. "I want to talk to him." Nanami shot her a glance. He felt bad for her, not only that he's been a bad friend.

"You'll get over him soon enough, don't worry."

"I wonder how long that'll take."

"Well you can only hope for the best."

Soon they reached his house. Y/N nearly had a heart attack. She could feel her heartbeat quicken and thumb in her ears like a song on repeat. Nanami placed a hand on hers, snapping her out of her trance.

"I'll see if he's imside. His car is here so maybe he's here. Just...stay put."

Y/N simply nodded. Nanami got out of the car, making his way towards the door. Y/N watched him from her seat. Nanami glanced back at her to make sure she was still there. He knocked and waited for an answer. He knocked three more times, waiting. He got no answer. Before he could challenge it a third time the door finally opened. He was actually surprised and something strange welled up in him. Almost like he was happy to finally get to see Gojo standing in front of him. He even began his own fantasy of having Gojo forcing him to go out and other things he never wanted to do just so he could tell him to fuck off.
