Aayat was done with her college and so she booked a cab and went home.Upon reaching the house,she was met with the sight of almost everyone present in the living room.Only Dadu wasn't there.
He must be with Iti in the garden as always the two might be playing with each other as they do every day.
"Aa gayi maharani"Badi maa taunted her but she didn't react and was silently making her way towards the staircase to reach their bedroom.
"Dekhiye maa,kese jaa rahi h bina kuch bole,accha hua hamare Rudransh inse bach gaye aur unhone Ritika jesi acchi ladki se shadi kr li,jo parivar ko sabse upar rakhti h"Badi maa said and Dadisa nodded at that.
"Jheel aap toh apni Bahu ko samjha sakti h na?beta toh wese bhi aapke haathon se jaa chuka h, inpr toh thodi pakad rakhiye"Dadisa said and Aayat stared at her mother in law who sat quietly not speaking up for herself as always.
"Ritika ko dekhiye,iss ghar ko waris dene wali h woh,unse kuch sikhiye,apna khud ka baccha kijiye,uss manhoos ladki ki maa banne ki koi zarurat nhi h aapko"Dadisa said and Aayat gasped as she heard how she referred to Iti.
"Dadisa aapko hame jo bolna h bol dijiye,hum sab chup chap sun lenge,pr aap Iti ko kuch mat boliye,woh bacchi h abhi"Aayat said looking at Dadisa who was surprised hearing her give her an answer.
"Zaban dekho kese kaichi jesi chal rahi h inki"Badi maa said pouring more oil in the already lit fire.
"Naam bhi mat lijiyega uss ladki ka hamare saamne kabhi bhi,woh koi nhi h hamari aur na iss ghar ki,pata nhi kiska paap h jo hamare sirr laakar patak diya h aapke pati ne"Dadisa said and Aayat really felt very angry now.
"Aap Iti ko kuch mat kahiye Dadisa,unki koi galti nhi h iss sab mein"Aayat again said in a calm voice trying to keep her point.
"Rehne dijiye dadisa yeh nhi samjhengi,yeh bhi Hriday jese hi ban gayi h ab,dheet aur badtameez "Rudransh said as he sat beside his wife and smirked at Aayat who gave him a disgusted look.
"Aap toh beech mein boliye hi mat,aur rahi baat hamare pati ki toh aap unki pairo ki dhul ke barabar bhi nhi h,jo aadmi ek ladki ki bhi izzat nhi kr sakta woh tameez ki baat na ho kare toh behtar hoga"Aayat said and Badi maa and Dadisa both glared at her now,so did Rudransh and his wife Ritika.
"Yeh koi tareeka hota h kya apne jeth se baat karenka???maafi maangiye inse abhi ke abhi"Badi maa said.
"Hum maafi nhi maangenge inse bilkul bhi,humne kuch galat nhi kaha h"Aayat said confidently,like hell was she going to apologise to that jerk.
"Dekha maa humne kaha tha na yeh sirr pr chad jayengi"Badi maa said turning towards Dadisa who glared at Aayat.
"Aayat maafi maangiye Rudransh se abhi"Dadisa said but Aayat shook her head again.
"Agar humne aapse badtameezi ki ho toh hame maaf kr dijiyega Dadisa pr hum aise insan se maafi bilkul nhi mangenge jinki wajah se hamare maa-papa ko sharminda hona pada tha"Aayat said recalling the day of her wedding and how Rudransh ran away leaving her family to bear the consequences.
