Jeremy and I have been dating for almost three years. We met when he was staring in Bonnie & Clyde and I was working on hair and makeup. Now we were both working on Finding Neverland. He was staring as J.M. Barrie and I was still working on hair and makeup, but this show I was also working on the costumes.

If I'm being completely honest, sometimes I couldn't help but feel a little insecure. He is becoming one of the most well-known Broadway stars and I am still just the makeup girl. Even after three years, I couldn't help but feel like I didn't deserve him.

Jeremy and the rest of the cast were rehearsing the finale to act one as I was hemming Jeanna de Waal's dress. I was so deep in thought as I sewed I was completely oblivious to Jeremy standing behind me.

"Y/N?" He said, making me jump. "Sorry," he laughed. "I didn't mean to scare you. You were just so focused on sewing. Everything okay?"

"Yeah," I said softly, "sorry, just a little distracted. Maybe I'm tired."

He sat down next to me and grabbed one of my hands in his. "Hey," I smiled, "I need that to finish hemming this dress."

"Well, maybe I need it too," he teased. He brought my hand up to his lips and pressed a kiss to the back of it.

"For what?" I laughed.

"For. . . For you know. . . Shut up," he smirked as he leaned over and kissed my cheek. He pulled away and studied my face. "Are you sure nothing is wrong? You seem. . . I don't know, you just seem distracted. Like something is on your mind."

I stood up, putting the dress back on the hanger. "Y/N?" He whispered. "You're kind of scaring me. Please talk to me."

"It's us."

I heard his breath hitch in his throat. "Us? What about us?"

"It's just," I sighed, running my hands through my hair. "I feel like I don't deserve you. Like I'm not good enough for you."

"Not good enough for me?" He asked as he stood up and walked over to me. He put his hands on my shoulders and turned me around. "Y/N, how could you think you're not good enough for me?" He asked softly.

"Because you're this big Broadway star and I'm just. . .me. You should be dating Laura or Kara or any other beautiful Broadway babe. I'm just the girl who does the hair and makeup of the beautiful girl you should be dating. I'm can't help but feel like you deserve so much better than what I can give you."

He cut me off by pressing his lips to mine. I smiled into the kiss as he wrapped his arms around my waist. He pulled away and pressed his forehead to mine. "Not good enough for me?" He whispered. "How could you think you weren't good enough for me? Y/N, I love you."

"I love you too," I smiled as I pressed my lips to his.

"Jeremy," we jumped when we heard Diane Paulus, the director say his name. "We have a major crisis!"

"What's wrong?" Jeremy asked her.

"Laura had a family emergency and isn't going to be able to do the show for the last three weeks."

Jeremy and I looked at each other, confused. "What about her understudy?" I asked.

"She got cast in another show," Diane said, running her hands through her hair.

"Oh," I said under my breath. I looked over at Jeremy to see him smiling at me. It wasn't his normal smile. It was his "I'm up to something" smile. "What?" I asked.

"Diane, I have an idea." Jeremy said, not looking away from me.

"Well, I'm open to anything," she muttered.
