"So do you feel different? With the Altean marks?" Keith asked as he helped Lance set the table outside by Allura's statue.

"I don't know, aside from the mark I don't feel very different." Lance said. "They always catch me off guard every time I look in a mirror. It's gonna take some getting use to."

"I bet, you got bright blue on your face, it stands out a lot." Keith said as he started putting down plates and Lance put down napkins.

"Well do you feel different being part Galra?" Lance questioned.

"I don't have anything to compare it to Lance." Keith said. "So I don't know if I'm different then a normal human. I mean, I look normal. I think I might be stronger? Or quicker?"

"Ha, I don't think you are that much stronger." Lance said. "Oh! I have been craving milkshakes lately, but I think that's unrelated to maybe being part Altean."

"So you don't even know if it's marks or a change in who you are?" Keith questioned as he picked up some cups and Lance set down silverware.

"Yeah. I think it is just marks. Nothing has happened with them, and as far as I know I can't like change colors or anything." Once shrugged.

"It would be weird to see you in any other color." Keith said.

"Yeah it would be weird, but it would also be cool." Lance said. "And our markings look cool too."

"It's not really that cool." Keith said. "And this is a scar, not a marking."

"What really? But your mom has one." Lance said.

"No, this is a scar..." Keith said. "At least I think so, Shiro cut me across the face, it's a lot bigger then I thought it was. But I'm not sure. And it's not particularly cool... just kinda different." Keith smiled over at Lance.

Keith didn't notice he was doing it until it was too late, but he reached out to stroke Lance's marks with his thumb, not realizing he was cupping Lance's face.

"Oh!" Keith quickly removed his hand and stepped back. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

Lance chuckled. "Hey it's fine man, I touch them all the time too. They don't stick out or anything, they are just kinda there. Like a tattoo." Lance brushes his fingers against Keith's scar. "Yours is the same way. Like a tattoo."

"Yeah..." Keith chuckled awkwardly, he couldn't believe he just did that. "Well the table is all done. We should get back and find the others..."

"Yeah we should." Lance agreed.

"Then I was like basically stroking his face." Keith explained to Shiro when they were alone.

"And this is a bad thing because?" Shiro questioned.

"Cause, he doesn't know I like him Shiro, and I'm pretty freaking positive he doesn't like me back!" Keith said.

"Keith, Relax." Shiro said. "Lance probably won't care too much, you said he shrugged it off and touched your face too."

"And I think my heart stopped working when he did that." Keith pointed out.
