"Oh, no," Tony said, barley audible, putting his face in hands. People were silent at this, most of them knew about Tony's addiction to alcohol and him overcoming it. However, this Tony seemed to be having a harder time from the looks of it. Pepper moved to comfort her fiance.
Everyone was silent, going out of their way not to look at the couple.

Tony just put his head in his lap and covered himself as best as possible. It was clear that he was mortified by the stupidity of his variant. Pepper once more comforted him.
